Annie

Our High School put on a production of Annie this month and the kids had a great time. We went with some friends, so that makes sitting through a play a lot more fun. At the end of the play they got to meet, Annie.
This was a great kick way to kick off a fun Holiday Season.

Happy Holidays

Well, the happenings of the Holidays caught up with me. Which means my blogging suffered once again. I guess blogging should be one of my New Years resolutions.
But, I will say we have had a fun December.

Lunch Date

Tyler made the A-B Honor Roll at School so we got to have a special lunch with him yesterday. It is always a fun treat to bring Chick Fil A (requested by Tyler and GK) to school.
No better way to spend lunch on a school day than with these sillies. So thankful I can call them mine.

Choose Hope

This fall I had the absolute privilege to lead another Hope Group. Hope Groups is a group of women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. I embarked on this journey in September and we just wrapped up the week before Thanksgiving. I am not sure I can fully put in to words how humbling it feels to be using this platform that God has intricately woven for me through Landry and even my Brother. This road that I have walked has not been an easy one, but the beauty spilling over from all the tears and deep pain is worth every painful and heartbreaking step.
Tears are filling my eyes as I type this and think of the 9 strong and courageous women that I had the absolute pleasure to journey with this fall. Their pain and loss is still very fresh, but their honesty and desire to find hope and absolute joy in our Heavenly Father is inspiring.
October 15th was National Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day. I realized brightly colored balloons for all the precious Hope Babies in my group. Of course our littlest had one, too!
So thankful for Hope Mommies and the hope and healing that is coming from Hope Groups.

Rewind

What happened to November? Did I seriously go a whole month with out ONE post? So embarrassing. This fall has been full for our family and it has obviously gotten the best of me. November was a busy month filled will lots of traveling. We traveled every weekend in November, so we are hoping for less traveling and more weekends at home this month.
December has actually been refreshing. I feel like I am actually able to stop and get caught up on some things. I am sure I just jinxed myself, Because we all know December is a busy month. In order to get you all caught up I will do a little rewind to get you all caught up on our happenings.
Royal football and our Friday night lights wrapped up. So proud of our Falcons.
Every month the Royal Elementary PTO opens a Caught Being Good store. Kids can redeem their red Caught Being Good tickets for prizes. Tyler is right on the track!
We got to travel to Huntsville and watch our Nephew play Football.
The biggest event. All the way back in October.... (head shaking) was celebrating Georgia Kate's 3rd Birthday. Our Frozen lover wanted Anna and Elza at her party. Well, we pulled off. There is a company called Fairytale Hedqaurters in Houston. It was worth every penny. Anna and Elsa were wonderful and the party was so much fun. GK loved every minute of it. So did Tyler!

Happy Halloween

Introducing Shawn (Royal Falcon Football player) and Queen Elsa. No theme this year, as GK was all about being Elsa. I tried to get Tyler to be Olaf, but it did not work. But, I can't blame when he got to go to Royal's field house and get his own helmet and shoulder pads to wear. Tyler thought that was really exciting. Mr. Big Time. Thank you Coach Robinson for making Tyler's day.
Matching or not they still melt my heart all dressed up.
We had a fun and full week leading up to Halloween. It also happened to be Red Ribbon week at Tyler's school, so lots of fun theme days.
However, some days don't go as planned and you just have to go with the flow...... especially when someone becomes sick. Our football player woke up at midnight and I just knew something was wrong. Thankful he got some rest. We were hoping that he could make it to school for his costume parade. However, a trip to the doctor before 8 am is how our Halloween started. Instead of treats this year we got Strep Throat.
Georgia Kate even missed a fun Halloween party, but some days you just have to take sick days. Thankfully, through the day Tyler improved little by little. He even asked me at one point if he could go back to school.
We were hoping to spend our night under the Friday night lights, but instead Ryan had to cheer them on alone. I decided to share the kids candy loot and let GK pass out candy to trick or treaters. The lights were on and we waited and waited. The wait worked.... we had 4 visitors! :)
Well, this is not the Halloween we had visioned, but sometimes Plan B can be just as sweet.

Fall Festival

Last Sunday we were invited to fun fall festival and trunk or treat with our new Athletic Director/Head football coach and his family. They joined our district over the summer, and we have had the best time getting to know this family. Their family also grew a few weeks when they welcomed another little girl. Our kids have had the best time together. We have gotten to spend a lot of special time with Kayden and Cooper, and we have enjoyed every minute. It has definitely taken time to form sweet friendships, so this year and school year has been all about new friends. It feels so good.
There were lots of fun festival games and we ended our evening with trunk or treat. My goodness the kids bags were full of candy goodness. Such a great time to gear up for a fun and festive week.
