Moving Day Part 2

Well, we got everything off the u-haul and into the house and the new Storage Unit. I guess I better not say we, because I stayed home this morning so Ty could nap. I was very impressed at how fast Ryan, my Mom and Dad got it done. They were home by 12:30pm. Well, they did have three other guys that came to help, too. Only two more trucks to go. We all made a trip to the storage unit and new house later in the afternoon before Ty's afternoon nap. It is so nice just being able to walk up the street! My parents new house. It looks a lot like our house.
Posing for a picture in Ghee and Poppy's new backyard.
Ty got to have some play time with Poppy this afternoon. He also got to go for a long walk around the neighborhood with me and Ghee.
Moving sure does wear a little boy out!

Moving Day Part 1

Ghee and Poppy arrived around 2:30pm today with their huge U-haul truck. This is only half of their stuff. It will probably take two more trucks the same size to get everything. I told you they have a lot of stuff. We will spend tomorrow afternoon unloading! Ty has been smiling ever since they arrived. Ty even lifted up his arms for my Mom to pick him up. That made me weepy. We are so blessed to have them back in Texas. We will send more moving pictures very soon.

Books

I was on Amazon.com this morning ordering my book for April's book club. It was my pick this month and I picked Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. A big thanks to my Sister In Law, Shana for all her help. Shana is also in a book club and she sent me her list of all the books they have read. She told me that Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was one of her favorites, so that is what I went with. I am excited to start reading it. We just finished Atonement. However, I had to miss the last book club, due to Ryan's work schedule. I am excited about hosting this month.

So, while I was on there I decided to look at the the Baby Wise books, and they have a part 2!
On Becoming Baby Wise: Book II (Parenting Your Pretoddler Five to Fifteen Months) Yes, I am little late considering Ty is 8 months old. But I still time to put some things in to practice. As many of you know Baby Wise was like a Bible to me when Ty was 6 weeks old. I got him on a eating and sleeping schedule. I love that book. It helped me out so much. Ty has been a great little sleeper. Especially at night! That is what I wanted and needed. I still have him on a schedule. Needless to say I am very excited about my purchases.

In other news. My parents should be here in a few hours! I will send pictures as soon as I can.
Ty's pick of the month: Pajama Time, by Sandra Boynton. We have several of her books and Ty just loves them.

These are a few of my favorite things.

Today's pick for favorite chew toy: Yes, that would be Ty's wipes. I was filling up Ty's wiper warmer and Ty got hold of the the package. As you can tell he seems to be enjoying himself. I was thinking today as a I snapping away with the camera that someday he might not like all of these action pictures of himself. Therefore, I must it enjoy it while I can!
Well, we are still home bodies. My car is not ready, and they now think it is something else besides a new transmission. I needed a new transmission, but they found some other parts that need to be replaced. My poor Mazda Tribute. It is one sick car. So, not sure how much longer it will take. It is a good thing my parents will be here tomorrow until Tuesday. We will be able to get out! Freedom.
Today it looks like we are stuck inside all day. It is trying to rain, and it is kind of cold outside. Ryan will not be home until after 7pm tonight. Westphalia is having there Kindergarten Round-Up for next year. What a long day for Mommy and Ty. I must continue with my cleaning. I am almost done. This is great.
What? I am not doing anything wrong.
I wonder if I can put this whole thing in my mouth? Just so you all know I did not let him try.
Still not doing anything

And this is the face I get when I take his new chew toy away.

Playing Outside

Ryan was doing some work on the backyard this afternoon after work, and guess who got to watch him work? Ty loves being outside. It was finally a nice day to be outside. We had just gotten finished with a walk around our neighborhood walking path. Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day, so hopefully we can do some more exploring outside.

I'm awake!

Oh, It feels good to be awake.
I love my bed! It always brings a smile my face.
Still cute. Now that I am rested lets see what kind of trouble I can get my self into. This looks fun. I think I will pull it off the shelf and see what I can find.
Oh, a baseball! My favorite!
One of my favorite times of the day is when Ty wakes up from his nap. He hardly ever cries to let me know he is awake these days, he squeals and talks. It is so funny.Sometimes I let him talk for awhile before I go get him. So, today I thought I would bring the camera in with me so I could capture the happy little boy!
Tyler has started spotting new things around the house. He can't crawl, but he will roll to where he would like to go. I put him on his baseball mat (everything is baseball) in his room after his nap and he spotted the blue boxes on his book shelf. So, he decided to investigate. He is one strong boy. I love how curious he has become. It is fun to watch.
Well, my parents are on their way to Texas. They left this afternoon. They hope to be here on Friday. They are driving a huge u-haul truck. The first of many loads they will have to make. I think Ryan is going to help drive a truck back, too. He will fly to Florida and drive to Temple. Ryan loves talk radio so this is a perfect gig for him. I thought about going with Ty to help my Mom pack, but it is just too much right now. We will be the welcoming committee. We are praying for a safe trip.

Stir Crazy!

This looks fun.
What is this?
It tastes good.
This is fun.

Thanks for my new toy, Mom.

Today after Ty got up from his morning nap I decided to clean out his closet. Ty has the most organized closet out of all us. I cleaned out the diaper box and put it on the floor next to Ty. He already was playing with some other things, but once Ty saw the box he decided to play with it instead! The small things that make him happy. It was great I was able to change his sheets and start a load of his wash while he was intrigued with his new toy box.

I will admit I am getting a little stir crazy being stuck in the house all day. Plus, the weather is not really cooperating with us this week. Honestly when I have my car we didn't get out that much, unless it was for errands or play groups. I have been missing my playgroups. This afternoon I was supposed to get together with my friend Heather and her two kids, Connor and Kendall. We were going to go to the Whistle Stop playground. We have rescheduled for another day. Well, I must clean the study before my parents get here and finish the laundry. My work is never done around here.
Update on the Fruit Puff: Ty put two puffs in his mouth last night with out my help. I was telling Ryan what I tried with him that afternoon, and he wanted to see it. Of course Ty did immediately! Ryan got the video camera out to record that wonderful moment! Proud Daddy!
