6 Month Check-Up

I am going to the Doctor! I love the shoes.
Drum Roll please...........................................

Tyler weighs 19 LBS 12 OZ! and is 27 3/4 inches tall! WOW!!!!! He got to sit up on the scale this time. My little boy is growing up. It just seemed like yesterday we were there for his 2 week check-up! That makes me a little weepy.
However, he is not as big as I thought he would be. He did so well with his check up. He even did ok with all 3 shots. He screamed and his face turned so red only for a few minutes. As soon as I picked him up he was ok! That makes a Mom feel good! We did have a surprise at this visit. At 6 months they take blood! Not fun! I even hate having blood taken imagine holding on and watching them take blood from your own childs arm. It was so sad! It just broke my heart. The tears were really rolling down his face. At least tears were not rolling down my face. I was trying to be strong, and I did it! A big thanks to baby Tylenol. I think that helps with all the pain. Once it was all done and I put him in his car seat to go home he started smiling and talking to me. I am so glad he was not too mad at me. At last he is down for a nap! We had to wait along time at the clinic today, so little Ty was starting to rub his eyes like crazy when we were still there past nap time . Ty really is a good boy. He is growing up healthy and strong. You can tell that he is a healthy eater by how much he weighs! The Dr. was impressed that he has only had a stomach bug, which the whole family got when he was 4 months old. Dr. Santema siad that having Ty stay at home is the best thing for him! Thank you Ryan! We love you!

Braves Baseball Hat!

Ryan took these pictures of Ty on Saturday! Oh my gosh Ty is just so precious. I know I am a little bias, but look at this face! Priceless! I knew all of you would want to see how cute Ty looks in Ryan's hat.
Well, we will be heading to the doctor in a little while, so we will report when we get back!

The net came off

Look at me I am sitting in the tub.
This is so fun!
Oh, this washcloth is yummy.
As you can see the net finally came off! Ty loved sitting in the tub and splashing the water. He also enjoyed looking at the water while chewing on his washcloth. He will chew on anything he can get his hands on these days. I tried to get Ty to look at me, but it was a little hard with the mirror right in front of him. He loves looking at himself in the mirror. It was so fun to watch him look and splash at the water.
The next big step is the bath tub. Oh, where does the time go! Ty is just growing way too fast! I hope you all are having a nice weekend. We have another preety day outside, so we will be taking Ty to Lions Park to go for a walk after he wakes up from his nap. I got to run some errands this morning while Daddy stayed home with Ty, and Ty slept the whole time of course!

Ty and Aunt Sara

We had a great lunch with Sara today in Austin. It was so wonderful to see her and her little belly. I really miss her a lot. I hope that once her little girl arrives in June I will get to see a lot more of her and baby bohn. She is not telling anyone the name. Ty enjoyed being held like a baby. He was not really wanting to be still. I think he was a little tired. He was rubbing his eyes.

It was a very early morning for us, we left our house at 6 am! I did get a Starbucks out of it because it was so early. Once we got to Austin we stayed at the convention center until Ryan was done for the day. I played on Ryan's new lap top and Ty napped in his stroller. After that we walked over to Sara's office building, because it was so close and it was 82 degrees outside! Beautiful day. We had a nice talk and good lunch and then back to Temple. Ryan went back to work and me and Ty played and then went for another long walk. The weather is just to nice to stay inside.

Have a great weekend. I will blog soon.

The winner is........

This is how I found Ty after his morning nap. I told you that we keep four pacifiers in his crib, just incase he looses one at night he has others to choose from. Well, Ty looked like he was having a hard time choosing which one to go with. He had three pacifiers in front of him all together, but in the the end the green one was the winner. Ty only likes one brand of pacifiers and of course the brand he likes has cute sayings on them like: Mute button, It is all about me, ect....... my boy is very stylish when it comes to pacifiers.
Ty makes me laugh everyday. Well, while I am talking we have also started calling Ty TJ. I love it, but I still think I like Ty. We will get back to you on that one. The jury is still out. You all can call him whatever you like. He will probably answer to Tyler, Ty, and TJ! My son with too many names. Just look at those blue eyes! Ghee got her wish, a blue eyed grandson. She also said blonde hair, but we are not sure about that just yet!

Ty and his favorite animals

A big wet kiss from Cooper. Ty has a big smile on his face, but you can't see it because of Cooper's big head.

Ty and his chunky monkey getting ready for the day! Ghee and Poppy gave him Chunky monkey.

Ty loves this bunny that he got for Christmas from his Nana! It is almost the same size as Ty. I love the floppy ears. If you look at the bunny's ear you will see Tyler's name on it.
We are very excited that it is Thursday, because Tyler gets to go see his Aunt Sara tomorrow in Austin. He has not seen her since he was two days old. Ryan is at a school conference in Austin today and tomorrow, so we thought it would be fun to go with Daddy tomorrow so we could see Aunt Sara and Ty's future girlfriend that is still in Sara's tummy! We will post plenty of pictures. I can't wait to see Sara. I miss her so much.
I have already taken 81 pictures this Month and it just begun. I am a little camera happy:)

Bath Time Fun!

As you can tell Ty loves taking a bath. That is one of my favorite times with him, because he just smiles and laughs! His favorite thing to do now is splash the water. I have to windex the bathroom mirror more ofton now. He is sitting up so well in the tub. I know I should take the net off the tub but I guess I am just not ready for my baby to grow up. I guess I feel as long as the net is on he is still my little monkey boy. I promise I will be strong one of these days. A couple of my friends that are Mom's like to tease me about how protective I am with Ty. I just love my little boy! What we need to look for is a little seat for the tub. I think he will love getting in the tub and playing with his rubber duckies.

Well, I have come to the conclusion that Tyler's favorite person is his Daddy! He smiles from ear to ear when he comes home, oh and he laughs and screms in delight when Ryan plays with him. He loves being tickeld and thrown up in the air. Tyler really does have a smile that will melt your heart. That is my favorite part of the day when I go in to his room after he wakes up and he just smiles so BIG! I try to do the things that Ryan does to get Ty to laugh, and I get nothing. At least I have the wake-up smlies.

If Ryan is close by and I am holding Ty, he will reach out his hands to him. I think he just wants to touch his ear or beard. He loves pulling on Mommy's ear and pulling her ear rings out of her ear! OUCH! It is sweet to see how happy Ty is with Ryan. I really love seeing their relationship as Father and Son grow. I just get tears in my eyes thinking about it! It is a precious gift to raise a son.

We take Ty next Monday at noon for his 6 month check up and shots! Ouch! I can't wait to see how much our little chunk weighs. Ty does ok with his shots. Baby Tylenol really hepls. I think I will be ok if Ryan can't go this time. I will let you know how it goes with pictures. Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I must go check on my sleeping baby. Nap time is always nice. It is good to have some down time during the day. However, I am stuck at the computer trying to work on stuff for Divine Desserts. 4 more weeks and counting.
