Cowboy Game

As I am typing this Ryan is sitting in this Stadium cheering on the Dallas Cowboys in the new Stadium!! Ryan has really been wanting to go to a game all season but his schedule never allowed it and then our Nephew called Ryan this Morning and said he had two tickets! He immediately was on the phone calling friends. Let's hope the Cowboys win big tonight! I know Ryan is having a great time. He deserves this considering in two weeks he will be back at A&M. Ryan did text me a few minutes ago (Ryan NEVER texts) to tell me they have amazing seats. Go Cowboys!!

What A Day

Friday was a real fun day for Ty. It started in the Morning with a trip to Chick Fil A for breakfast and some play time in their play area with Ghee. My Mom's good friend had her Grandson in town so the Grandmother's got together for a Morning Play Date... What a special Morning for Ty and Ghee. We truly are blessed to have Family that lives so close. After a fun Morning of playing I met Ty and My Mom to visit another close friend who is in town visiting. It is always fun to catch up with long time Family friends.
At noon I loaded Ty up, again and we headed to another play group at the Power House Gym for Open Gym. This gym is new and it was so clean and the kids had free rein of the place. I think all of them were thrilled to have a open space to run and jump in. This cold weather sure does make Ty stir crazy....
After playing hard for an hour and a half we loaded in the car and headed to Chick Fil A again for a late lunch. We had Whitney and Sadie with us because Whitney's car died on the way to the Gym so I told her we would give them a ride home since they live right down the street. I know Ty enjoyed having a friend in the back seat, too. We were both worn out after our day of fun!! Ty waiting for Ghee. I had my camera with me but I did not get any other pictures of our fun Friday!

Back To School

Ty went back to school this Morning and he was ready. That makes a Mom feel good for sure! Ty was so cute when we got in the car because he was telling me which way to turn and he was leading me to school. I asked him where we were going and he yelled "School"! Ty was either excited about seeing Ms. Kim and all his friends, or he was ready to get rid of me for a while......

Therefore, I enjoyed my Morning dropping off cookies to the Children's Advocacy Center (A wonderful project the JL does), stopped for a Starbucks ( A must on the COLD day- A high of 27 and we will be in the teens tonight- for Texas that is very cold), and headed home to laundry. It sound like a glamorous MDO Morning but I was just thankful to have the house to myself for a little bit. I have had "my boys" home with me for the past weeks so a nice home to myself is a treat! I will post pictures of Ty soon. I have not taken any pictures of him in a while. Shocking I know!

Big Changes

Saturday was Clean up and Clean out day at our house. We are about to start a major remodel on our house in the garage area and since that is our main storage in the house we decided that we needed a storage unit. We can't store anything in our attic and the ceiling is too low in the garage for cars. Ty loved being apart of the action on Saturday and since my parents were over helping Ty had a wonderful afternoon playing outside. Well, our garage is pretty much empty except for a few things. I guess that means we are ready for the fun to begin.... I hope. Ryan and my Dad getting ready to tear the ceiling apart..... They meant business!!

On a different not Ty is starting to feel better. I went ahead and kept him home This Morning from MDO. He finally started eating a lot more than he has the past few days this afternoon so that is a good sign. He has been so tired that he has been going down between 7:30-7:45 (Normal) and sleeping until 9:30am for the past two days!!! Ty has never done that before. Hopefully we are on the road to recovery. We are still on antibiotics until next week. I will say Ty is still pretty fussy but that could also just be being 2.......
Overall we are getting back on track and keeping busy. Junior League is kicking back up again and I have so many deadlines this week that snuck up on me (I will blame the Holidays for that).

Under The Weather

Ty is starting out the New Year with a double ear infection!! My Poor Baby. Ty has not slept well the past two nights but he was acting fine all day yesterday, until last night when he woke up at 11pm with a fever. Therefore, I gave him Motrin and the rest of our night was spent trying to get some more sleep. We decided to stay home from church and monitor Ty which was a good thing considering he fell asleep on the couch next to Ryan this Morning. Therefore I called the S&W pediatric clinic and got Ty an apt for 3pm. Thank goodness they were open. The rest of the day before the apt Ty was just not himself and he even crawled up on his bed and put himself down for a nap!! I was SHOCKED when I walked in to find him asleep. Now Ty has never done that.
I was also a little shocked, but relieved when I heard double ear infection because Ty showed no signs except for the fever. It has been over a year since his last Ear Infection and that was also the last time Ty was sick. We were blessed last year with a very healthy boy and hope we can try and remain healthy this year as well.
After a few mini meltdowns we made it home with a prescription. I gave him his first dose and so far so good. Ty has been laughing and playing which is always nice to see!!! We are praying for a quick recovery and some SLEEP! We both need it.
