HOT

I can't believe it is only June and it is already so HOT!! It is going to be long 2 months. Maybe it felt so hot today because we spent the day helping the Vaught's move. Well, I did not do as much moving as Mark and Ryan but I did take Ty and Madison to the Splash Pad and Park for a little bit so Lauren could get some stuff done. It was a long day of in and out in and out! However, we are enjoying having the Vaught's back in Temple and Texas.
We were going to hit the pool today but got home a little too late. We will be at the pool tomorrow for sure! Any place that is cool is where I want to be these days.

Welcome To Our Mess

This is currently what our house looks like and it is a mess. We have had people in and out of our house all week but the walls are looking so good. The final texture process will start on Monday and then the painters are scheduled to be here on Wednesday. A lot of current rooms in our house our going to have a new look very soon!! After Ty's, Landry's, and our new guest bedroom/office get all painted then we will put the new carpet in. I think living in a disaster zone for a little longer will be well worth it.
Therefore, since our house is a mess we are trying to stay busy and out of the house. This Morning we had a fun play group with a neighbor. There were a lot of little ones there and Ty wanted to play outside the whole time. I had a good time, but Ty just could not seem to find anything to keep him occupied. Later this afternoon we headed to Wildflower Country Club to swim with Ghee and Poppy. Ty really was loving the pool today. I was so proud of him! We start swim lessons on Monday afternoon. Today also marked the last day of School for Westphalia!! Too bad Ryan does not get the summer off. Summer is officially here....

Lunch Date

Yesterday Ty and I had a lunch date with my Best Friend, Sara's little girl. Sevi has been in Temple with her Grandparent's and we finally were able to find some time to get together and play. Ghee came with us so she could see Vicki and Sevi, too. We ended up having to change our plans of splashing at the Splash Pad, because of rain to playing and lunch at Chick Fil A.
Sevi just turned two last week and she is the cutest little girl. Ty loved playing with her, too. We had a fun afternoon. If only I would have gotten to see her Mommy.
Yesterday evening we headed to our good friends new house. We are so thrilled to have Mark, Lauren, and Madison back in Texas!! After we visited with the Vaught's we made it home to get Ty ready for bed and then after he went to bed I headed out to a Back To Work party for my good friend, Lindsay!! Lindsay is starting a new job a new job at S&W. We are really going to miss her and I know Ty will miss seeing Hudson. It was a fun night of celebrating Lindsay!! What a busy day.

PARTY

Sunday was another busy day for us in the DFW area. My Grandmother (Ma) lives in Rockwall, so we thought since we had some time in the afternoon that we would head to Rockwall to have lunch and visit with Ma. She was beyond thrilled when I called and told her that we wanted to take her out to lunch. We had a great visit and enjoyed being able to see Ma for a little while.
Sunday evening was the big Graduation Party for Justin. Ryan's sister went all out and there were tons of actives for all sizes and ages. Ty was in heaven, because there was a jump house, water slide, dunking booth, and a pool/hot tub to choose from. I would have to say that Ty's favorite was the dunking booth. He loved throwing the ball and hitting the the aim. Ty did go down the water slide once but I am sure that had a lot to do with Ryan pushing him down. However, when he made it down he did not think it was too bad. Needless to say we had one tired boy on our hand when the evening was over. Me with my Grandmother.

Dunking booth fun!

Zoo Day

On Saturday Morning we headed o the Fort Worth Zoo. It was a fun filled Morning for all the boys. Ty's favorite part was the train, of course. He did love the Monkey's, Giraffe's, and Elephants, too. What a fun Morning.
We spent our Saturday afternoon in the pool. Ty is still trying to warm up to the pool year, but he is getting there. He always been are water boy so I am hoping for the same thing this year. We start Swim Lessons next Monday at UMHB!! Ty, Caleb, and Jacob

I still have one more post about our Memorial/Graduation Weekend to post so I will try and get to that one soon.
We are going to have a house full in a few hours with electricians, glass, and texture of 4 current rooms and a hall way in our house. Our house is a disaster zone again but I am so excited about painting more rooms.
Today also marks my official position switch with the JL. I am officially Secretary of JLBC. We kick it of tonight with Board Training. My close friend that was the Secretary last year has already passed everything down to me including a lap top. I know I have some big shoes to fill but I am ready!!

Graduation Day

On Friday evening Ryan's Nephew, Justin graduated from High School. We headed up on Friday afternoon to Keller so we could be there for Justin's big weekend. If you asked me how Graduation was I would tell you that it was long. I thought I was prepared and had all sorts of toys and snacks to keep Ty occupied but I guess not, because Ty lasted 15 minutes in the auditorium and then he told me very loudly he wanted to go bye-bye. The rest of Graduation (2 1/2 hours) was spent outside playing with trains and running in a big field. I will say in Ty's defense that the Graduation did not begin until 7:00 p.m. and that is very close to Ty's bed time, but Ty was a trooper once we got outside.
I wish we would have gotten more pictures, but at least Ryan came out and told us when Justin was getting close to walking across the stage to receive his diploma. We stood close to the entrance and realized that Justin would walk right by us when he was going back to this seat.

When Justin walked by the "youngest" group of cousins he put his hand out for Jacob, Caleb, and Ty.

Way to go Justin!! We are so proud of you. I am glad we were able to make it even if I did spend all night outside. (More pictures from our weekend coming soon)
