Board Babies

My Board has been all about the babies this year. My Secretary, Julie welcomed Olivia Grace in November and one of my Members at Large, Brittany is about to welcome Brady Harrison in April. It has been fun watching these precious families grow.
On Tuesday we held our monthly board meeting, this one really snuck up on me but because of the way that Spring Break fell this year we decided to move everything up. Last week is our March General meeting and our last week before Spring Break.
On Tuesday we were able to add a little party to our board meeting by hosting a fun shower for Brittany and Brady. I think it helped that we knew fun was on the way because that was the fastest board meeting we have had all year. ;) We held the meeting /shower at a local restaurant and we actually got a private room upstairs so it was a perfect place to celebrate. We showered Brittany with lots of diapers and wipes. Brittany joined the league when I was Membership VP so it has been so exciting to watch where JLBC has taken her and she has truly been a wonderful asset to the board this year. I also get to serve next to her for the next two league years so I am so excited to watch her and her precious family grow over the years.
Beyond thankful for these amazing women that have grown to be such a huge part of my life this year. I could not have done this journey with out them.

It Does A Body Good

A little exercise always makes you feel good and brings a smile to your face.
Spring is getting close and daylight savings is this weekend so I think we will be outside a lot more. Which we love.
Ty has started soccer practice and Georgia Kate loves it because there is a park next to it, so we tried a little of everything tonight, but I think slides are her new favorite. Ty's first game is Saturday so Soccer is officially underway and we can't wait for a fun season.
Ryan goes and works out very early during the week, and I just happened to hear him this morning... I normally don't so at 4:45 am I laid there in bed thinking of all the JL stuff I need to do on the computer, so I got up and started working on my Board Meeting agenda for tomorrow night. Who does that?!?! :) Only one more Board Meeting left, after tomorrow night!! Count down has begun. Well, since I am little sleep deprived I think I am going to get of the computer and have some down time.

Toothless Wonder

It looks like we might need to learn how to smile, now that we are missing TWO teeth. I think now that we have lost one the others seem to falling out faster.

16 Months of Georgia Kate

Cowboy Day

Tyler's Class on Cowboy day. Such a fun group of kids.
All of the girls in Ty's class swarm Georgia Kate when she is around. They love all adore and I think GK loves all the attention. I simply adore this picture, and how protective they are of her. No one was going to let her go while I took the picture.
Today was Cowboy at Ty's School. I was not there for the whole event but Ty got to participate in several Cowboy activities, along with riding a horse (can't believe I missed that) and petting lots of baby animals.
A huge thanks to one of Ryan's students in Westphalia for all the real cowboy gear. I think Ty makes a really cute cowboy. Such a fun Friday at school, and Ty even got to eat lunch there so he was a really happy camper.

Come One, Come All, To The Circus

It has been a busy few days for our JLBC Community Project, Project S.M.I.L.E. It started Saturday with Super Hero Saturday and ended last night with a fun Circus Carnival theme. This is such a wonderful project and the children and families that I have come in contact with this year are all so amazing and hero's in my eyes. I can't believe that we only have two more events left for the year. Time is flying so fast. It has been a busy and at times very overwhelming year, but fun. I have had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. I am sure there have been some tears, Ryan is probably shaking his head yes. :) Above all I am thankful for this experience and the growth that has come from serving in such a huge way.
