Boxes and Baseball

This post will be the theme for the month of May for the Steele Family!
We are under contract on a new house, so it looks like we are on the move... again. Thankfully, our new house is only about 15 minutes away. Therefore, a much closer move this time around. Phew! We were so thankful for the opportunity to have rented to allow time for our house to sell back in Temple, but it will feel so great to have our own house again. We are set to close on May 15th. God's timing is always perfect and I am absolutely giddy to see what God has in store for our family during this semi new chapter in our lives.
Of course with the moving comes packing. I should be at pro at it by now, but it is not my favorite thing. Then again when you have a Mom with expert packing skills I'm always in good hands. When there is packing to be done just call on Ghee and  she will help on the double!
On Wednesday Ghee offered to come in to town for a few days to help me start packing. Tyler and Georgia Kate were over the moon with Ghee being here and I must say we make a great team. We got so accomplished while she was here.
Ghee even got to watch Tyler play T-Ball last night so that was fun for all of us. Ty even got a home run.  The only person we were missing was Poppy. We can't wait to see him very soon.
There are still boxes to be packed but a lot of the big packing done and I feel so thankful for that. We can't wait for this new house and all the memories we will share.

Super Sunday

Cotton Candy always make any weekend brighter. Someone at the Administration Building know how to score big points with Tyler and Georgia Kate. I think it safe to say that our kids have the hearts of everyone in the district.

Easter Weekend

Over the Easter weekend we decided to head back to Temple. It was a fast trip, but so worth it. Tyler had school on Good Friday, bad weather make-up day. Thank goodness we have now made up both our bad weather days. It had been a while since we had been back, and with a crazy few weeks and weekends ahead we felt it was the best time go. We had a blast seeing Ghee and Poppy, and some of our friends. We also go to go back to our church, and boy did it feel wonderful to worship there on Easter Sunday. My heart will always belong to that Church.
We of course made stops at all of our favorite places in Temple that have all held so many memories for our family. We also did a little family bowling. We had a blast! I think we have found a new family favorite with Ghee and Poppy.
Temple will always be Home to me, but I think it is getting to easier to leave. This was the first time that I did not cry when pulling out of the City limits. It is a huge relief to be adjusted and feeling better and better about our new home and the roots that we are working on planting here.

Special Night

It is always a special night at the Baseball Field when your Teacher comes to cheer you on! We are so very thankful for Tyler's amazing Teacher who made his night! Tyler was so very proud that she was there watching him, that he played his best game of the Season. Way to go Thunder!!
Tonight was just another wonderful reminder of how very thankful we are to be apart of such a wonderful District, and for a Teacher that goes above and beyond to make Tyler feel so very special!

Hunting For Jelly Beans

Thanks to a fun Homework assignment for Tyler on Easter, Tyler and Georgia Kate got to hunt for Jelly Beans yesterday afternoon. After the hunt we worked on sorting and counting our jelly beans....Who knew Easter could be fun and Educational! We had a fun day outside having fun with jelly beans and math, and maybe eating a few of the jelly beans after our work was done. So thankful for Easter and Spring.
