Graduation Day

On Friday evening Ryan's Nephew, Justin graduated from High School. We headed up on Friday afternoon to Keller so we could be there for Justin's big weekend. If you asked me how Graduation was I would tell you that it was long. I thought I was prepared and had all sorts of toys and snacks to keep Ty occupied but I guess not, because Ty lasted 15 minutes in the auditorium and then he told me very loudly he wanted to go bye-bye. The rest of Graduation (2 1/2 hours) was spent outside playing with trains and running in a big field. I will say in Ty's defense that the Graduation did not begin until 7:00 p.m. and that is very close to Ty's bed time, but Ty was a trooper once we got outside.
I wish we would have gotten more pictures, but at least Ryan came out and told us when Justin was getting close to walking across the stage to receive his diploma. We stood close to the entrance and realized that Justin would walk right by us when he was going back to this seat.

When Justin walked by the "youngest" group of cousins he put his hand out for Jacob, Caleb, and Ty.

Way to go Justin!! We are so proud of you. I am glad we were able to make it even if I did spend all night outside. (More pictures from our weekend coming soon)

Packing

This is what you get when you ask a 2 1/2 year old pack to go out of town for a long weekend. You can't see it but he did have a shirt in there. One shirt, a few books, and lots of trains. He also had a baseball bat in there for a little bit, too. I guess he thought Nana and Papa would not have enough toys for him.
Don't worry I re-packed for him and he didn't seem to miss some of the items I took out.

Robert's House

My Dad is remodeling the house right behind us which has been very convenient him. A while ago my dad created a ladder that would be easy for him to go back and fourth when needed. Ty has really taken an interest in it lately, because he knows that Poppy's trailor is over there. The name of the man that lives behind us is Robert so Ty always asks about Poppy's trailors at Robert's house ir if Poppy is a Robert's house.
This evenening after dinner Ty asked if he could go and check on Poppy's trailor. I am sure he really just wanted to climb over the fence. Daddy introduced Ty to that last week. I have to remind Ty a lot during the day that we only climb over the fence when Daddy is home. I am not sure what we will do when my Dad is done with our house and Robert's? Ty loves Poppy's trailor!!

Thankful Thursday

Today was a busy day for us but that is how we like things. It started this Morning with a fun trip to the park with our friends the Marshall's. We headed to the new playground that just opened at Lion's Park. I only got one picture, because we were too busy exploring everything. It is a great playground. I am sure we will head back there soon. After the playground I took Ty to get his hair cut. Ty of course was wonderful and sat there the whole time smiling and talking. He loves the razor. It tickles. After the haircut we headed to run an errand to get birthday gifts for some friends. After our errands it was time to head to another friends house for lunch. We had a great time with the Thompson's and ended up spending a few hours over there visiting.
I would have to say that the highlight of our day was at 5:30 pm when we saw Daddy's truck pull up in the driveway. Ty started clapping and shouted yea!! There was nothing better than seeing Ty run and give his Daddy a big hug, and I don't think he stopped smiling the rest of evening until bedtime.
We our truly thankful for good friends that we have a good time with and when Daddy comes home from work on time.

Day Two

This is what I get when Ty goes with out seeing his Daddy for a while. My normally sweet little has been miserable today. We are just not having a good afternoon or evening. I think we are both tired and ready for Daddy to be home. Maybe we will be in better spirits tomorrow!!
Thank goodness for Bible Study this Morning. I think we both needed to get out of the house and spend some time with friends. The key for us is to stay busy! Tomorrow we will do just that.

Splash Time

Now that Ty is not in School anymore on Tuesday and Thursday Morning we are looking for fun things to do! Well, today we filled our Morning with swinging, splashing, and friends. We met Hudson, Keifer, and Lily at Miller Park this Morning and lets the kids play. They had a great time and the Mommies had a fun time talking. We are so thankful for good friends.
Ty really loved the splash pad today, but I have feeling that had a lot to do with his buddies. Ty's 3rd Birthday Party is at Miller Park. I thought the splash pad and park would be great for the kids. I decided against the party at our house this year since I will be a few weeks away from having Landry.
We are ready for another fun day tomorrow with good friends. We are trying to stay busy this week because Ryan is gone a lot due to end of the year programs and graduation.

Carpet and Hardware

I realized today that I have not done a house update in a while. As of this afternoon we are getting very close to completion.
Today we had our carpet, doors, and hardware installed. It looks so good. We still have some minor touch ups and some more trim/door work to be done but overall we are almost there and should be able to move in very soon. Too bad our new bedroom furniture will not be here until July 30th!! Seriously.......
We still have too carpet our other 3 bedrooms but that will be in a few weeks... Needless to say once I see everything we picked in place I know we made the right decisions. Our bedroom with carpet.

Our bathroom with light fixtures and hardware. We are still doing some tweaking with the mirrors.
Another bathroom picture and the final picture is one of our lockers! I love them. It looks great with the hooks and hardware.
I can't believe we are almost done! It has been a long journey but well worth it. I will have to do some before and after pictures.

I Scream You Scream We all Scream For Ice Cream

Our Neighborhood Association ( Historic Preservation of Temple) hosted an Ice Cream social this afternoon. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures. We had a great turn out, but during most of the event I was busy playing ball with Ty and some other kids. We did eat some homemade ice cream and it was great. There was a lot too choose from and even a lot of fun toppings to try. We actually had a contest for the best home made ice cream. The Judge was our new City Council Member. Councilman Dunn! We are thrilled to have a neighbor (he lives across the street from us) representing Temple and the Historic District. Today is just another reason why we love our neighborhood. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people.
We are ready for another week. Ty's last day of school was last Thursday so we already have some fun plans to keep us busy this week. Oh, and our addition should be just about complete this week, too. Tomorrow we will have a lot of workers here...
It is a crazy week for Ryan, too! The end of the year is so close! Too bad Ryan still has to work and will start his Summer classes very soon. I guess we better enjoy our time with Daddy while we can.

Stadium

Last night we went out to dinner and every night after dinner we always try to do something fun as a family. We normally go for walks around our neighborhood or walk to a park but since we were out last night Ryan mentioned going to Wildcat Stadium to walk around the track. Well, TY loved it. There will people playing football and walkers on the track. Ty loved racing on the track. We did not stay too long last night because it was too close to bath and bed time. However, we went back twice today!
The first time was this morning while I was working a shift at the Second Hand Rose and then we went back this afternoon and brought the camera, ball, and bat. It was very hot but Ty was loving it. I think we found a new hot spot! Ty keeps asking to go to the stadium......
Being out on the field brought back a lot of memories for me. I spent several Friday nights out on that field. I of course had to get a picture of me with Ty on the 40 yard line, because that was where I stood and performed while I was a Kitten (drill team).
Having fun/free things and places to go as a family is another reason why we love living in Temple. After some time at the Stadium we hit Ghee and Poppy's house for some Popsicles. We had a fun family Saturday. Only a few more Saturday's left with Daddy. Tomorrow we head to a fun Ice Cream Social with friends and neighbors.

Daddy and Ty watching a son and Dad throwing the baseball on the baseball field.

Washing The Car

Ty will hate me for this one day, but until then I just had to post a picture of my little naked boy washing my car.

Training

I am waiting for my good friend to come over for a mini Junior League Secretary training. Christina was an amazing Secretary last year so I have some big shoes to fill! I will be back later with a better post.

Time Again

For water, swim suits, pools, splashing and sunscreen. We love water season. We met our friends Whitney and Sadie at the Splash Pad by our house this afternoon for a picnic and some splashing. Of course I forgot my camera. However, the kids wanted nothing to do with splashing today. Instead they wanted to play at the park. Thank goodness there is a park at the Splash Pad, too. We had a fun outing with friends and then we came home and played outside. I think we played baseball for 2 hours this afternoon. Ty is defiantly an outside boy.
I had my glucose test and monthly doctor apt this morning and everything went well. I have not heard back about my blood work so, hopefully that is a good sign. Landry is doing well. He has a strong heart beat and I am measuring right at 28 weeks!! Our family of 3 will become a family of 4 before we know it.

Favorite Things

Tyler got to do a lot of his favorite things today. It started this afternoon when we were able to watch Ty's friend, Sadie for a little while. Enjoying a Popsicle outside.
Jumping on the trampoline.
Digging in the Sandbox for some sand toys.
We love when our days are filled with sun and friends. Sadie's Mommy, Whitney is pregnant and due a few weeks after me. Hopefully, Landry and Zoe will be good friends just like Ty and Sadie.
Tomorrow Morning I go in for my Glucose test and my monthly Dr. Apt. I can't believe I will be going to the Doctor every two weeks starting next month! We are getting close.

Fiesta

I hosted a Provisional Graduation Fiesta party this evening and I did not take any pictures. We worked so hard all weekend to make our backyard ready for the party and everything set until there was so horrible winds with some rain that blew in. Therefore we moved the party inside! It was a great time and I loved catching up with everyone. Ty loved seeing all our friends, too. He asked me all afternoon about our friends coming over. Therefore, he was the welcoming committee and stood at the door when everyone left saying good bye! What a fun night!

Goal

Ryan finally set up Ty's Soccer Goal that Ghee and Poppy got him for Easter. I think it is safe to say that Ty loved it. Ty is a natural when it comes to most sports and I think he has a really good kicking leg. Everytime he would get a goal he would smile really big and shout "GOAL". We played a lot of soccer yeaterday. Ryan said that he got it all set up just in time for World Cup Soccer.

It's Back

Our Washer and Dryer finally made it back to their new home after being gone for a few months! They look so good in their new utility room. Everything is pretty much complete in the utility room so my Dad gave us the ok to bring the washer and dryer back home. After a much needed Spring cleaning I was all set to use them again. I have never been so excited to do laundry and I know my Mom is just as excited for us. Thank you Mom for making sure we always had clean clothes. I am excited that we are back in business and it wont be long until we are in our new addition for good!

Gordon

Ty is still in love with Thomas the Trains. He has been wanting the the Gordon train for the longest time and he always talks about him, but I could not find him any where. Today we went to Target with Ghee to look for some patio cushions and of course we made a stop at the Thomas the Train Isle. Ty always makes a bee line for that isle anytime we are at Target. However, today was worth the stop because we found Gordon!! As soon as I handed it to Ty he said "Thank you Mommy, Thank you Ghee."
Ty's afternoon was complete after finding Gordon and he even took him in to the bath tonight. Of course we had to bring Henry in to the Tub with us, too. Ty did not want Gordon to be lonely. Bath time a traintastic time!!

Clean Up Day

Washing our patio was a great clean up task for Ty this afternoon. I think he managed to spray everything in sight. Including himself, Mommy, Daddy, and Ghee. What a fun Saturday!

Sorry I have been MIA lately but we have been busy visiting with Ryan's parents. Ryan's parents (Ty's Nana and Papa) came in on Thursday because there were Softball and Baseball games in Waco and at UMHB that they wanted to see, so they stayed with for two nights.
This Morning we went to breakfast and then I headed to work a shift at the Junior League's Second Hand Store (The Second Hand Rose). When I got home Ghee, Poppy, Ryan, and Ty were having a big cleaning day at our house. Needless to say I was put to work as soon as I got home. Our backyard/patio and our addition are looking much better. We still have a lot to tackle tomorrow but everything is coming together!

Annual Dinner

Last night the Junior League held it's Annual Dinner. It marked the end of another League year and it was a night full celebrations! We passed on the gavel to a new President and in a few more weeks I will be getting my feet wet with a new position. I am excited about the year to come and can't wait to get started! I have never been good at taking breaks...
I was able to get a picture with my favorite little boy before I left. The event was at the Historic Cotton Exchange in downtown Temple and it was an amazing place. Of course I had to get a picture of my amazing Arrangements Co-chairs for the year. Whitney and Lacy did an amazing job all year and they were so awesome to work with. I appreciate both of them and their friendships more than they will ever know.

Whitney and Lacy! I love these girls.

Tyler and I made it back to Bible Study this Morning and it felt great to be back with all of our special friends. After a great Bible Study we headed over to the King's house for a fun Lunch bunch. Ty was too bust playing with Hudson, Sadie, Ansley, and Lacey to eat! We had a great time with them!
This afternoon our next door neighbor Sarah and baby Hiatt came over to visit and play. Hiatt is still too little to play but he loves watching Ty. We love busy days!

Laugh Out Loud Moments

When you have a 2 year old going on 3 (in a few months) you have several laugh out loud moments. Here are a few of our favorites:
1. As most of you know we are remodeling our house and have been with out a washer and dryer for several months. I was getting Ty ready for the day and when we were all done he usually puts his dirty clothes in his hamper, but this time he handed them to me and said " Take to Ghee's house." My sweet Mother has been our laundry service. Today we were putting on his shirt before heading to School and he looked down at his shirt and said "Ghee got it all clean." Thank you Mom for taking such good care of Ty's clothes.
2. Ty is really aware of my tummy these days! You can't miss it. Tyler saw Ryan talking to my belly a few days ago so now Ty loves coming up to my belly and shouting " Wake up Baby." It usually works. Landry is already trying to follow his big Brother.
I know we have more but those are my favorites. Ty picks up on everything and loves to copy what we say occasionally.
Tonight is the JL's Annual Dinner. It is hard to believe we are at the end of the year. Well sort of.... I still have a few things left do and I start my new role on June 1st. We have truly had a wonderful year and I know tonight will be a great celebration.

Back To Work

Ryan has to go back to work tomorrow. The past four days have been so nice and we got a lot done around the house. It is hared to believe how close we are getting to the end of the year. Too bad Ryan has to work almost all Summer.
Today we spent the Morning running errands and then Ryan took Ty up to Westphalia to drop off some stuff. Ty was so excited to go to Daddy's school. I enjoyed some time to myself. Tomorrow night is the JL's Annual Dinner so I had some last minute preparations to take of. It felt great to get everything done.
I love my boys so much and enjoyed having a lot of family time with them the past four days. I will take what I can get! (poor Ty got a a bump on his head right before coming in to take a bath).

Happy Mother's Day

I had a very spacial Mother's day! The best part was being able to spend the day with my parents and my two boy's. We of course did some work around the house. Our house is a never ending project! Ryan grilled some hamburgers so we had a yummy feast. Our feast was topped off with a yummy ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I am sure Landry enjoyed it as much as I did.
Mother's Day reminds me of how thankful I am to have such a wonderful Mother and Friend. Thank you Mom for everything you do for us. You are my inspiration for being a good Mom. I love you! Ty had a great day showering me and Ghee with lots of love, laughter, and sweet presents.
