Super Sunday

Cotton Candy always make any weekend brighter. Someone at the Administration Building know how to score big points with Tyler and Georgia Kate. I think it safe to say that our kids have the hearts of everyone in the district.

Easter Weekend

Over the Easter weekend we decided to head back to Temple. It was a fast trip, but so worth it. Tyler had school on Good Friday, bad weather make-up day. Thank goodness we have now made up both our bad weather days. It had been a while since we had been back, and with a crazy few weeks and weekends ahead we felt it was the best time go. We had a blast seeing Ghee and Poppy, and some of our friends. We also go to go back to our church, and boy did it feel wonderful to worship there on Easter Sunday. My heart will always belong to that Church.
We of course made stops at all of our favorite places in Temple that have all held so many memories for our family. We also did a little family bowling. We had a blast! I think we have found a new family favorite with Ghee and Poppy.
Temple will always be Home to me, but I think it is getting to easier to leave. This was the first time that I did not cry when pulling out of the City limits. It is a huge relief to be adjusted and feeling better and better about our new home and the roots that we are working on planting here.

Special Night

It is always a special night at the Baseball Field when your Teacher comes to cheer you on! We are so very thankful for Tyler's amazing Teacher who made his night! Tyler was so very proud that she was there watching him, that he played his best game of the Season. Way to go Thunder!!
Tonight was just another wonderful reminder of how very thankful we are to be apart of such a wonderful District, and for a Teacher that goes above and beyond to make Tyler feel so very special!

Hunting For Jelly Beans

Thanks to a fun Homework assignment for Tyler on Easter, Tyler and Georgia Kate got to hunt for Jelly Beans yesterday afternoon. After the hunt we worked on sorting and counting our jelly beans....Who knew Easter could be fun and Educational! We had a fun day outside having fun with jelly beans and math, and maybe eating a few of the jelly beans after our work was done. So thankful for Easter and Spring.

Good Friday

Are you ready? The good news is, it's Friday, but....... Sunday's Coming! Yes, Sunday, glorious Sunday, for all those who trust in the Lord. The Fridays of life will come but if we trust, Sunday will surely follow.

This promise of life returning to us means that Sunday is coming and that we are in the Season of Spring and Easter. The precious and humbling reminder of new beginnings.  However, today my heart is reminded that we can live the resurrection story at any time in our lives. We are constantly dying little deaths; in our relationships, our ...grief, and our personal journey carrying our own cross. But there is always the HOPE of our resurrection, and this can only come through knowing our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)

On this Good Friday, I am praising God for the reminder of the promise that He can make all things new. He will turn ashes into absolute beauty. But just as today symbolizes, we must sometimes wait. But, He cares about our loss, and He can bring his Resurrection power in to your aching heart and life. God is so Good.
May your heart be filled with overcoming peace this Easter weekend as you cling to the Hope that comes from the Resurrection.

Dinner Time

Tonight was another reminder of how wonderful it is to live in the same District where Ryan works. Some nights Ryan has to stay work late, but on those occasions we can still have dinner with him.
Tonight we had dinner at the Administration building.
Tyler and Georgia Kate love eating in the Board Room and sitting in the big comfy chairs where the
School Board Members sit it. Oh, the perks of being married to a Deputy Superintendent. Most importantly we are thankful for this fun opportunity. Some times it takes a big move to a new City to realize how important certain things in life are. I have definitely clung to my family and our new and fun time together during this new adventure.

Better Late Than Never

Spring Break has come and past, and I just realized I never fully posted about our fun adventure in Galveston. This just goes to show what a blur March was and April is becoming the same.
This year for Spring Break we spent a week in Galveston with Ryan's Family. It was a fast and full week, but a lot fun.
Here is a sneak peak of some of the fun we had:
We stayed at a Beach House, so we spent a lot of time at the Beach.
We spent a full day at NASA
We took a Ferry ride and also did a Dolphin boat tour
Spent some time time exploring The Strand
Botanical Gardens
Pleasure Pier
Houston Rodeo to see Maroon 5, most importantly Adam Levine

What a fun trip filled with many special memories! This post is making me excited about Summer.

The Little Mermaid

What a whirlwind of a week, but it seems like most of it was filled with snotty noises and coughing. However, on Thursday I took Georgia Kate to see Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Gk loved dancing to Ariel singing, "Part of your World." We also got to listen to Ariel read The Little Mermaid to us.
And after all that they could pay and sing with musical instruments and also dig for treasures in the sand. It was such a fun and full morning and a great experience for GK. I am so thankful for all the fun opportunities that are semi close to where we live.
Don't let Gk's face fool you.  She was a little timid sitting next to Ariel, but she really loved her. We might have found a new Favorite Princess. Well, She is probably comes in second, behind Princess Elsa....the bad girl from Frozen, as Gk's calls her. :)
I truly cherish these fun moments with our little girl. I soak up all my days with her.

Park and Baseball

If you asked Tyler and Georgia Kate if today was a perfect day. I have a feeling they would say yes, because they both got to do what they love. Georgia Kate got to play at the park this morning, and Tyler got to play in a T-ball game. The best of both worlds for my two loves. I love and cherish their pure joy in life. It is such a breath of fresh air.

Houston Astros

My favorite thing about this move is we always try to take advantage of all the opportunities and experiences that are so close to us. Today, we ventured to Minute Maid Park and cheered on the Houston Astros. The weather was rainy and cool, so today was a perfect day to spend our afternoon at the ball park. It was such a fun day cheering on our home team, who won!!
We will always be Rangers at heart, but it's nice to support your new home team. :)
Truly thankful for a fun family Sunday with baseball and my family. We are truly blessed and thankful for all the fun memories this move has and will continue to provide our family with.
