Boxes and Swimming

We spent the Morning taking everything out of our attic. WOW. Our attic was full of stuff and now it is all empty. I am shocked at how much we got done this morning. After the Morning in the attic we decided that we would spend the afternoon at the poll cooling and off. We ended our productive day with grilling some burgers. The perfect end to a GREAT day.

Ty testing out my old director chair that I had when I taught Theater Arts. I found a lot of my teaching stuff in the attic.

Ty trying out his new floaties. We are still trying to get used them but he did a great job swimming.

Ty had a great time this evening playing in his baby walker. It was up the attic so it was "new" to Ty. What a stinker.

I feel like we are making some real progress. Tomorrow I will get back to packing us the inside. Ryan is home all weekend too so that is why we were able to get so much done.

The Many Faces Of Summer

The sights and sounds of summer are here at last.

We were supposed to go to a fun splash park in Temple at one of our local parks but when ever we got there it was over taken by school kids. Therefore, us Moms thought it would be too much for our little ones. We were disappointed that we could not play with our friends but after Ty's nap I decided to bring the splash park to our backyard. As you can tell Ty loves a water hose. We are still trying to get used to the sprinkler ball but I am sure we get there! After Ty played with the hose we hit the pool. We love spending our summer days outside.

Water Boy

I got Ty a Ultimate Beach Ball Sprinkler today after we left the gym. I thought it would be something fun for him during the move. Well, Ty has to get used it. He loved it when it was just but then when I turned the hose on he was a little hesitant. I am sure he will warm up to it. Water come out of a huge beach ball seems fun to me.
Since Ty was already in his swim wear we decided to hit the pool. That was a HUGE hit.

The good news is I got two more boxes packed today. It is coming together. Now I must finish all my other commitments. Have a great Friday!

22 Months Old

Our little Monkey is 22 months today. It is hard to believe that 2 is right around the corner. This year has flown by.
This Morning I was testing out the headphones you see Ty with to see if they work before we headed to the gym. As soon as I set them down Ty picked them up at put them on. My little copy cat. There is never a dull moment in our house these days.
Ryan is back at work and we are getting back into our routine after a nice long weekend. We got a lot of packing done the past two days and I am about to do some more while Ty is napping. Our week is crazy of course but that is what we like.
Tonight is the JL Board Retreat. I will be getting some much needed training for my new position. I will be serving on the Board as Vice President of Membership for the 2009-2010 league year. This is a huge position and commitment but I am looking forward to watching our league grow and become even more successful. I have some BIG shoes to fill but I am ready for the challenge. Have a great week! Back to my boxes.

Making Progress

Yesterday the boxes came down and we got busy packing and taking things down. It went a lot faster than I thought it would. I am sure that had a lot to do with my Mom and how she is a pro at packing. Currently we are out of packing paper but I sent Ryan to get more so I can tackle some more today.
Ty had a great time playing in the boxes and helping us stuff treasures. He loves to copy what we are doing. Excuse the no shirt in the pictures but Ty played in the rain for a little bit. Poppy and Daddy were trimming trees until is started pouring down rain. I should have known that Ty would love playing in the rain.

Ty is handling all the change very well, too. He still throws a few fits every now and then but that is nothing new with an almost 2 year old (2 more months). I have been corned about Ty and this move but so far he is doing OK. I will probably leave his room until the very end.
I am starting to get very excited about our move. It will be a very fun and busy June. I hope to get a lot done so we can host a Fourth Of July/Open House Party. That is my plan for now.
Happy Memorial Day. Thanks to all the men and women who served and are currently serving for our Country. May God Bless you!

Cutie

Ty all ready for church. I couldn't help but take a picture of how handsome Ty looked this Morning in his plaid polo and khaki shorts.
Today was our last Sunday to work with our nursery kids. We have enjoyed it but we decided that we need to take a break this summer with the move and our mini vacation plan in July.
However, next Sunday is Promotion Sunday so Ty will be in a different class. It is hard to believe that Ty has a Birthday this Summer.
Well, I am determined to get some packing done today and tomorrow. I keep putting it off but it has to get done! Wish us luck.............

Girl's Night Out

Last night my dear friend Lindsay celebrated her Birthday. Therefore, we decided to make it in to a Girl's Night Out. We headed to Cheeve's for drinks and appetizers. It was a great evening filled with wonderful Friends and great conversations. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends. Happy Birthday Lindsay! Thanks for letting us try some of your yummy chocolate cake.

Friday

Ty testing out the water. He loved it even more the second time around. I think we are going to have a fish on our hands this Summer.

FEARLESS!! We decided on Friday that is time to invest in some swimmers/water wings
My BIG boy!
After we swam and played by the pond Ryan came home to clean out our gutters. This is what Ryan found while he was working. Yes. That is a snake. We have so many open fields by our house that we have a lot of snacks. Yuck...... Thank goodness Ryan killed it.
We had a very nice surprise on Friday afternoon that we were not expecting. Ryan walked in the door at 2pm!! For those of you who know Ryan he NEVER gets home that early. Westphalia had an early release day. We are getting so close to Summer. Ryan still has to go in to work everyday but it is less stress and sometimes he gets home early. Friday was nice indeed considering Ryan did not get home until 10:00pm on Thursday and then was gone all day Saturday.
I was just about to put Ty's swim suit on when Ryan came home on Friday so Ryan joined us at the pool. Friday was a very nice surprise.

What Will Ty Think Of Next.......

I think Ty is trying to tell me that he is ready to go back to the pool or just play with water. Ty can be so funny sometimes. I loved when he tried to sit in the dogs water bowl.

We hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Our weekend will be spent packing and working on last minute house projects that the new owner would like us to do. I think the thing I am looking forward to the most is Tomorrow night. Girl's Night Out to celebrate Lindsay's Birthday! Our Supper Club was supposed to get together this weekend but the host had to reschedule so we decided to turn in to a Girl's Night!

More House Pictures

Here are some pictures of our new house: Backyard. I did not get a good picture of the yard but it is nice and big.
Ty's "built in" in his new room
I love the windows in Ty's room that look out to the back yard. We will be changing the paint color. On the back wall is a "chalk wall" I am thinking of keeping that for Ty.
Dining Room. I love the window that looks out to the backyard.
Formal Living area. We do not have enough furniture for this house but that is an OK problem to have. Once again I love the open windows.
Family Room. This room also has nice big open windows.
My Favorite is the kitchen. I have always wanted a house with back and white tiles. Oh, I am just so in love with this house......
