Swim

Our Biggest all ready to hit the water.

 High Fives.
 Practicing Diving.

Getting ready to jump and swimming after his jump. No more floaty!!
Blurry... but my only action shot. Ty loves jumping off diving baords.... he could do it all day.
We wrapped up another Succesful season of Swim Lessons at UMHB. Once again Ty showed great improvement and as always we can't get him out of the water. I am so proud of our biggest! We had a great 2 weeks with friends and wonderful swim coaches whom Ty adored. I guess next year I will be in the water with Georgia Kate as she starts her swimming lessons at UMHB... we have to carry on the traditon. I will say Georgia Kate was such a trooper during lessons, that were during her nap time. Today when we got to stay in the pool area and watch, GK kept flapping her arms up and down every time she would see Ty.
No we have some down time this summer... well, I have a feeling we will find something to do.

Watching Over You

This evening I was busy folding clothes so Tyler put himself to bed... so we thought. After folding and putting away clothes I go check on Ty and he is not in room, so I check in the office/guest room and also in our room.... No Tyler. I go ask Ryan where Ty is and he names off all the rooms I named, and then he sid I guess he is in Georgia Kate's room.
Sure enough Tyler is fast asleep in his sleeping bag on GK's floor.... where is my camera when I need one. It is the most sweetest image, and one I will never erase. We have one good big brother on our hands, and a boy that really adores his little sister. Such special moments that I cherish. My heart was in need of that moment today, too.

HOT

It is offically HOT here. Tyler wanted to go to the park late this afternoon and I thought that sounded like a great idea because Ryan had to work late. As soon as I opened up the door to go outside and that wave of heat hit me, I should have known the park might not be the smartest idea. Turning on my car and seeing 104 on my themometor should have been another clue, and also when I pulled up to the park and even the splash pad was empty... really not a good sign. Well, we did it for about 30 minutes. I think we were all 3 sweating... next time Ryan has to work late we will come up with a better idea. We are back to the days when the only thing to do outside in the afternoon is swimming.... thank goodness my kids love a pool.
Speaking of swimming. We went back for our final week of swim lessons today and Tyler is really doing so well. I am so proud of him, and can't wait to see all of his new skills at the end of the week.

8 and 23 Months

On Friday, Georgia Kate turned 8 months old. Of course my camera is at Best Buy again, I seriesly have the worst luck with cameras.... I hope I get it back this week. So, I have not been able to take our monthly sticker picture. I have really needed this weekend, because on Friday Morning when I walked in to get Georgia Kate out of her crib she was sitting up... I have never even seen her try to get from a laying down to sitting position, so I could not believe my eyes when I saw her sitting there. Our little Miss was so excited she started flapping her arms up and down, that is her version of clapping. :) GK is turning in to a little girl right before our eyes. She truly is our sunshine and lights up any room. Stay turned for another 8 month post with pictures.
Today, is Landry's 23 month marker. How can it be that we are a month away from his 2nd Birthday. I have been missing him like crazy lately. It is hard to believe that July and all the bittersweet days and memories that it holds for our family is right around the corner. I was able to sneak away by myself this afternoon to go water Landry's flower and I was thankful for that "quiet" time I could have. My heart is heavy today, as I think of our little fighter. However, the leagcy that he left behind is truly amazing. I am humbled beyond words at the precious gifts God has given us.
We had friends in town over the weekend, so we had a full weekend. So thankful for all the friends that God has put in our life and the memories that we share. Now, I am resting up for a softball game.... for some reason I said yes to playing, again..... who plays softball in 100 degree weather? ;) At least I got a team shirt, so I guess it is offical.

Swim Friends

We fianlly made it to swim lessons yesterday Morning. Hopefully, we will make it a full week next week..... Tyler was very nervous and skiddish yesterday about lessons, and he even wore a swim float which he has not worn all Summer. Today, he was so ready for lessons and did not need a float and looked great in the water. So proud of him for warming up and being so independent this Morning at lessons. We even had to go simming this afternoon at a pool close to our house so he could show me his new skills. Not sure if we will ever go back to that pool again...yikes. That probably deserves its own post. ;)
The best part of swim lessons are good friends. Last year we started lessons with the Belson's and Lanham's and we continued that tradition this year as well. Such sweet swimming friends!

Carnival

Jack, Tyler, and Andrew. Impact friends.
Tyler and Jack with 2 of our amazing Impact Leaders, Joy and Kelly.
On Friday we ended our week of Impact with a Carnival at our Church. There were several bounce houses and fun activities like, sack races for kids to participate in. It was crowded, and there was a line at just about every bounce house. We had a wonderful week last week and were honored to be able to open up our home to share with others about God. We will for sure do it again next year.
Well, I think Ty is on the road to recovery and the antibiotics have kicked in, because Ty is doing so much better. By 11am Ty was asking to go swimming, I guess that means we are ok to go to Swim Lessons tomorrow Morning. Well, I did take Ty swimming and even treated him to a snow cone... he said it would be good for his throat. :) Who can resist that.....
So thankful Tyler is doing better, now I guess we can continue on with our week as normal.

Time Out

When I visioned my blog post today I had pictured sharing all about Tyler's first day of Swim Lessons. Well, sometimes you have to change your plans when the swimmer wakes up in the middle of the night, SICK!! That is right, now swimming for us today..... instead we were at the Clinic getting checked for Strep, and sure enough that is what we have. Poor Ty is absolutely miserable. One we got him on some anti nausea pills (prescribed because he got really sick in the Doctors office) Amoxicillin, and Advil he got his second wind and was actually playing golf outside with Ryan. Well, that second wind faded and when it did he went down hill fast. I am about to wake him from one of many naps today (you know Ty is sick when he sleeps/naps during the day... our boy never naps) and give home another dose of medicine. I hope it starts sticking very soon... it breaks my heart seeing him like this. I also hope that his nasty germs will stay away for the rest of us. I have been washing my hands and Clorox wipes have been wiped over everything and anything that does not move. :)
Well, I am not sure when we get to swim lessons, but I think right now it is important to rest and get all better.. cuddles help, too. Sometimes I think slowing down is needed, and it is always important to take some time out for a bit.

Oh' Dear

Someone is a little too excited about her new trick that she showed off tonight before bottle and bed.
Um, Daddy... I think it is time to lower my crib, please. Love, Georgia Kate :)

Father's Day

Happy Father's day to one amazing Husband and Daddy. We are so thankful for you and all that you do for us. The love that you have for our children is so powerful. You are strong, courageous, and funny.... you are our "Super Man".

It takes someone very special to be the father of 2 precious children here on earth, and even more special to be the Father of a precious boy in Heaven. Thank you for loving our boys, and our little girl. We love you, Daddy. These pictures melt and break my heart at the same time.

I am also thankful for my amazing, Dad. You will always be my first love and my Hero. I love and adore you.

Ryan and I are also thankful and blessed to have wonderful Father's who are now being wonderful Grandfather's. I am so blessed to have so many amazing Godly Men in my life. We love Daddy, Poppy, and Papa.

"Sun" Moments

Some of my favorite "Sun" pictures. No matter if we are swimming in a pool, splashing in a kiddie pool, or running through our home made slip and slide our kids love the sun and water. I love the precious memories we are creating this Summer and the closer we are getting to July I find myself clinging to these memories and finding ways to create more memorable memories for us. My heart needs these moments right now. I am sure you can guess what we did today.... swimming. Ryan went to play Frisbee golf in the heat and the kids and I cooled off from the heat by swimming. A perfect day for both of us. I even got to go and work / paint this morning at the Second Hand Rose so I think we had a productive Saturday.
I just put GK to to bed and now I am going to go cuddle on the couch and watch Cars with 2 of my boys. A perfect Saturday if you ask me.

Wrap Up

What a week we had with Impact! Here are are few more high light pictures from our house. Tonight we celebrated with a Carnival at our Church. And WOW what a crowd we had. There was so much energyy and excitement in the room and I know that came from God. What a lasting impression Impact has left on my heart and I loved being able to open up our front to so many incredible kids. So thankful for our Church.
Tyler also had his last day of Camp Wildflower. He had so much and he wants to go back, that is always a good sign. I hope he feels the same way about swim lessons on Monday!! He does love swimming, so I think that is a good sign. Tomorrow morning. I get to do one of my favorite things and that is to Volunteer at the the Second Hand Rose. I am ready to get out there and start making a lasting impact on JLBC this year!

Wet N Wild Wednesday

Drip Drip Drop.... the kids loved this one, well I think they love anything with Water!
 Noah and Nettie
The kids loved Impact and their amazing leaders. We will defiantly do this again next year.
Yesterday was Wet n Day for Impact and boy did the kids have a blast. There were water guns, water balloons, and buckets, and buckets of water. Seeing the pure joy on all of the kids faces this week was so powerful.
We are actually just coming back inside from our last Impact at our house. It is hard to believe the week has come to a end. Ty had a lot of hugs for the "big" girls that lead our group. Tomorrow we end with a Carnival at our church and we will come together with all other Impact kids. I know it will be a powerful evening as we see how God has been working in our neighborhoods and Community this week.
What a absolute blessing to be apart of such an amazing Church Body. So thankful tonight for our Church and amazing friends and neighbors that spent their week with us.
Tomorrow is also the end of Camp Wildflower, and I have been so impressed with Tyler during his time there. He is getting to be such a big boy. Thankfully, next week we start swim lessons.... no stopping us, yet. Tyler loves having plans. :) What a awesome week.

Special Suit

If this swim suit could talk it would have some stories to tell, because you see this was my swim suit when I was a baby. I am sure I was the same same as Georgia Kate when I wore it since we are both October babies. It is so special to be able to pass something down to GK that was once mine... now if GK has a daughter one day then she can wear it well. I love that thought.
What a week. Tyler loves Camp Wildflower, golf so far has been his favorite. He likes lunch, too. I get a full report on the choices for lunch. Tyler really loves Impact. He was so disappointed when Impact was cancelled last night due to weather, but boy did our amazing Youth Leaders make up for it tonight and we had several new faces which was amazing! Such an honor and humbling experience that we can open up our yard to neighbors and friends to come learn about Jesus. So thankful for Summer and all that it is providing our family with this year.

IMPACT

Our Church host Backyard Bible Clubs, and this year we decided to open up our yard and help be apart of the spread of the gospel message. Last night was our first night and what a wonderful opportunity for Tyler and the other children that came to our house.
Trained youth come and lead the children in wacky games, engaging skits, and dramatic bible stories. All we do as a host is provide a yard and snacks, well and of course help spread the word... the most important part is getting kids to come. :) Thankfully, they came last night... whew. :) The club runs Monday -Thursday and then on Friday we end with a Carnival at our church.
What a wonderful opportunity for Tyler and our family as we get to use our home as a "light"-house in our community.
Tyler is going to be worn out this week because he also started another camp this Morning. Camp Wildflower- Golf, Tennis, and Swimming. All of Ty's favorite things combined in to a fun 5 hour camp. What a Summer!

Cooling Off

I know it is a Season and things will slow down, but when??!?! I really do miss this, so I am determined to make this a priority again. I am loving summer and these precious children. I aodre this big brother-little sister relationship, it is priceless to me.

Read All About It

Tyler is famous. He made the front page of the Temple Daily Telegram. This was taken at his first day of Art Camp. (He is on the far left)
This week has been such a wonderful and fun experience for Tyler. What fun memories he is creating with special friends.

Manic Monday

I thought Summer was supposed to be relaxing, well not today. We headed out early today to run errands and Tyler knew that he started camp today so he asked me several times this morning if it was time for camp....finally it was. Tyler did great and he got so excited when he saw a friend from his class at school pulling up at the same time as us. He was even more excited when he saw friend after friend walking in. He finally told me it was time for me to leave. :) Love that boy.
After We dropped off Ty, GK helped me take tons of copies and instructions to a Copy Company so I can make Junior League Board and Chair Binders, 30 to be exact. We were home just in time for nap time and more computer time for me. After nap it was the the grocery store and to take dinner to a friend that just had a precious baby.
Tyler had so much fun this afternoon and is ready for the rest of the week. I am so thankful for all the fun opportunities Tyler will get to have this Summer.
I am sure the rest of our week will be just like today but I am so thankful for all of these days no matter how crazy and busy we are.

Performance

Poppy made it to Ty's performance, too. We missed Ghee, but she was out of town.
On Tuesday evening Tyler's school hosted their end of the year performances. It is always such a fun evening of singing and dancing. Tyler loves a performance and we are so proud of him. However, he has started new habit where his hands are always in his mouth, my guess he is chewing his nails. Almost all the pictures we got he has a hand in his mouth, nice. :) We do have a video that I will try and post as well.
I am still having a hard time believing that school is out and Summer is already underway in our house. We have been to the pool everyday since Friday and Tyler starts a week of Art Camp tomorrow. I think the whole class is made up of friends, so I am hoping he will have a blast.
The first couple of weeks of June are already booked with camps, Bible Club, and swim lessons. Actually, I think the whole month of June is booked. Well, that is what Summer is all about, right?

Big Day

It's official!! Today marks the first day of my Presidency. Let the journey and a year of amazing growth begin.

pARTy

I came to the conclusion that night.... again, that becoming a Artist is not in my future. Well, I had a lot of fun pretending. :)
On Tuesday night I had the opportunity to go celebrate one of my amazing friends, Whitney. Several girls gathered to celebrate Whitney's birthday with a fun Art Party. A local artist came and gave us our very own art class. Laughter and good friends make for a very fun evening.
I was very impressed by every ones artistic ability, I on the other do not have a artistic bone in my body. I am not sure if you will see my paining hanging when you come over... yikes. Thank you, Whitney for being born! I love you and I loved celebrating you for 2 days.
