All Caught Up..... Whew!

This is my last post from our trip to Keller. Which is a good thing considering the New Year will be here soon.
We had a nice unexpected surprise during our trip to Keller. Ryan spoke to his good friend Jason from College and found out they were in the DFW area. Therefore we met Jason and his beautiful Family for Breakfast. We had a wonderful time catching up with them. It had been over a year since we had seen them. Jason and Whitney have a little boy, Rowdy that was born 2 days before Ty. Ty and Rowdy played with trains and cars during the whole breakfast. What a fun Morning. Jason and Ryan with Ty, Rowdy, and Baily. Ty loved Bailey, too!!

After a fun Breakfast we went on a fun train ride with Nana and Papa around a beautiful park. It was a 45 minute ride and Ty was mesmerized the whole time by everything around him.

What a wonderful week!! The best part is I am all caught up on my posts from our trip!!!

Ty The Builder

Ty got a lot of tools for Christmas. He also got his very own work bench that still needs to be put together. Other than that he is set for some home construction.

It's Official

Good Morning Sunshine!! Ty looks so big in his new bed. My favorite are the sheets! We love our stars.

Ty is no longer in his crib that we transitioned to the toddler bed! He is in an official BIG boy bed! We took down the crib on Sunday and it was a very sad time for me because it really hit that Ty is growing up. I know that someday we will bring the crib back for Baby#2, hopefully. When I told my parents the next morning how well Ty did my Mom asked if I cried? Yes I did. I can't help it. My baby is growing up way too fast.
Ty has done great with the transition so I am pleased with how well he is doing and I hope it continues. I love that his bedding has stayed the same. When we ordered the crib bedding we went ahead and ordered the twin bedding as well. Sweet Dreams!

Cookie Contest and The Fort Worth Zoo

Last Wednesday the day before Christmas Eve was a full day for us. It started in the Morning with Nana's first annual cookie decorating contest. Uncle Ryan/Daddy was the judge for the event. All of the kids won to make it fair. Ty won most colorful! It was a fun morning and I am sure that Santa enjoyed them. After we finished decorating cookies we decided that it was too nice of a day to stay inside so we decided to pack a sack lunch and head to the Ft. Worth Zoo. What a great Zoo. I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo as a little girl a lot so it was fun to take Ty.
It is safe to say that Ty's favorite part of the Zoo was the Train and Carousal rides!!! Ready to decorate some cookies.

Our little Monkey loved the Monkey's at the Zoo.

Ty also loved the Tigers and Lions. He kept calling them Kitties.

The Elephants.

Ryan inside the bird cage holding a stick with bird food on it. It is really neat how close the birds get to you. A lot of the kids went in but Ty said "NO". Ty was happy just watching Daddy feed the birds.

On the Train ride through the Zoo. Ty kept saying "All aboard the Choo-Choo Train"

Ryan and Ty in front of a Bald Eagle.

The Carousal Ride. I was not sure what Ty would think of this but he loved going up and down. He would repeat it over and over.

I love this picture of Ty and Callie holding hands.
Ty with his Nana on the Train.

As you can see from the pictures last Wednesday was a fun time. I am getting closer to getting to being all caught up!

Christmas Day

Well, our Christmas Day was not what I planned for but it turned out great. I guess the best part of our Morning was that he sun was shining and the roads were clearing up. We loaded up and hit the road by 10am. We did not have any problems once we hit the road so that was great news.
When we got home we unloaded the truck and I put Santa gifts out to get ready for Christmas with my Parents. My Parents came over and we had a fun time opening gifts. They stayed for the day and my Mom and I fixed a Christmas Dinner. It truly was a very special Christmas. Ty walking in the snow to get to Ryan's truck. We brought Ryan's truck because we brought the Dogs with us. Since it was so cold outside the Dog's sat in the back of the truck with Ty. Ty was so happy that Abbie and Cooper were sitting next to him.

Santa Came while we were gone......

Ty got a lot of books in his stocking. Santa must know that Ty loves reading. He immediately wanted Ghee to read one of his new books.

Ty loved this candy filled cane that had a bull dozier that moved!! He did not care about the candy he just wanted to watch the toy move. What a great stocking stuffer. Thanks Lindsay for the idea!

Ryan bought Ty his first pair of Cowboy Boots. Ty loved stomping in them.

The BIG gift was from Ghee and Poppy and Ty is already a big fan. We had plans of having it all set up for Ty on Christmas Morning but since we were not able to get home my Dad came over on Christmas and tried to get it set up but of course it was in a million pieces. After we were done in side we took Ty to the garage and let him see his gift. Tyler immediately said " Ride Tractor".

And he is off....... Ty could care less that it did not have the trailer on it. Ty spent the rest his day outside riding his new tractor. It was so fun to watch Ty go!! Thank you Ghee and Poppy for a great gift.

Ty still spends the majority of our days on his tractor. It is all put together and Ty loves loading up the trailer with leaves.

Our inexperienced driver had a minor run in with my candy canes.

What wonderful memories we have from our Christmas this year. Ty sure is one loved boy and got lots of fun gifts. I still have to post from our week in Keller with Ryan's family so I will work on that this week. I guess the best part of the Christmas Holidays is Ryan is home all week!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve this year was a White Christmas Eve. It also marked the Steele Family Christmas. We had a fun day with all of Ryan's Family. We had a wonderful lunch and then opened up Christmas presents. I will have to say that Ty's favorite part was tearing the paper off his presents.
It started snowing around 11am and continued for most of the day. It took a while for it to stick but there was finally enough on the ground that Ty could play with. However, it was so cold outside that we never stayed too long. It sure was beautiful. The draw back to all the beautiful snow was it changed our driving back home plans. We actually did load up the car and headed off but we did not get too far before we had to turn around and head back to Ryan's parents house. The roads were very icy and dangerous. We swerved several times plus all the news channels were telling everyone to stay off the roads plus all the over passes and some intersections were closed. I will admit I was a little sad about not doing our Christmas traditions at home and not being home on Christmas Morning to open gifts with my parents but our safety was more important and Ty is still too young to understand a lot of it.
Here are some pictures from our fun Christmas Eve. We ended the night with watching It's A Wonderful Life. Ty really enjoyed the snow. He loved touching and tasting it.

Ty with his Cousin Callie. Callie painted her nose like Rudolph the red nose Reindeer.

Opening presents! Ty got a lot of neat toys. He loves his Fire Truck and his very own work table.

My little snow boy all bundled up.
Nana with all 8 of her Grandchildren in the snow. (Ty, Justin, Josh, Callie, Kassidy, Caleb, Jacob and Shay)
Stay tuned for Christmas day! It is coming soon......

Santa Claus

On Saturday Morning we decided to take Ty to the Mall so we could see about getting a picture with Santa. Here Ty is on the way to see Santa. He seems ok...... And when we asked if he wanted to go see Santa he would say "yes".

Trying to persuade Ty that Santa Claus is really nice.

Still trying to persuade Ty. As you can tell from the look on his face he is not too sure about all this.

Well, Ty did sit on Santa lap after Santa gave him a high five but he did not smile but there were no tears either. I need to scan the picture so you can see it. At least we got a picture!! Afterward we took Ty to play area at the mall.

We are having a wonderful time in Keller with Ryan's family. We sure are staying busy. We have gone on two train rides, (Ty loved every minute of it) been shopping, cookie contest at Nana's house, and a fun trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo. I have tons of pictures that I will post. I am now sitting in my in laws back yard watching Ty and his cousin, Jacob play together. Family really is a precious gift. Tomorrow is a our big Christmas with all of Ryan's family and then we head back to Temple to get ready for Santa.
