House Divided

We are a House Divided when it comes to baseball. Rangers and Braves! Ryan grew up in Atlanta, Georgia so his heart belongs to the Braves and my Cousin works for the Rangers, plus I'm a Texas girl so my heart belongs to the Rangers. Georgia Kate was supporting the Braves today in a special Onesie (My heart belongs to Mommy, Daddy, and the BRAVES). Just so you know Ryan bought this for Georgia Kate for Christmas. He picked it out all by himself. You tell me, but I think she is a Braves fan. Ryan looks pretty proud, too. :)

Saturday

I adore lazy Saturday Mornings, especially with these 2. I adore their precious relationship. They both think the world of each other.

However, I think we are all ready to get back on the Soccer Field. We have had the worst Spring for Soccer because of all the rain, which we have needed but it is leaving the Soccer Fields a muddy mess. We have only had one game this Spring. We have one of our make up games scheduled for Monday evening so our fingers are crossed that we stay dry.

Grandparent's Day

This Morning was Grandparent's Day at Tyler's school and he was so lucky this year to have 3 of his Grandparent's attend this special Morning and see a cute performance. Ty had his Ghee, Poppy, and Nana. We missed you, Papa. Tyler is such a little performer when it comes to a stage and audience. I am so proud of him and we have come along way from his first performance when he was 2.
We started the Morning with a performance and then we headed back to Ty's class for some special Grandparent gifts and then we ended our visit with a trip to the Book Fair. Tyler got a Lego City Book, of course. :)

Tyler with Nana. Thank you so much Nana for coming in to town last night so you could come to Grandparent's Day. We have enjoyed seeing you 2 weeks in a row.

Georgia Kate wanted in on the Book Fair action. No, I did not buy GK this book. :)

Such a fun Friday Morning with some of our favorite Grandparent's around. We love you and appreciate all you do for us.

5 Months

As I mentioned last week Georgia Kate turned 5 months! I am having a hard time grasping how fast the days, weeks, and months are flying by this year. GK is like a beam of sunshine and has brought so much joy in to our home and lives. Georgia Kate has been doing so many new things the past couple of days like rolling over, she has also found her toes and loves putting them in her mouth (she is a flexible little thing). GK also cut her first tooth on Friday. She still adores Tyler and he can usually make her laugh, which he loves. They have such a sweet relationship and I am very thankful for that.

I am just in awe of this beautiful gift! My heart is just overflowing daily with how much hope and joy she has restored back in to my heart.

(On a side note our camera was sent back but still was not working, so I took it back to Best Buy on Monday and they ended up giving us a new camera! Thank goodness for 3 year warranty's. I love having a camera again so I can capture this little cutie again, and of course our biggest.)

I love and adore you Georgia Kate. Thank you for being my precious, daughter.

Still

Yesterday marked Landry's 20 months in Heaven. How can be that we nearing the 2 year marker so soon?!?! The past 20 months have held so many heartbreaking moments but mixed with the heartache has come complete joy and a restoring of hope.
It's a continual heartbreak for me to know what I am and always will be missing with Landry. God has taught me to squeeze the life out of every moment I have with Tyler and Georgia Kate, and also with Ryan. I am so thankful for our precious children that we are so thankful to be raising. They feel my arms and bring laughter to our home.
At times I still can't believe this happened to us. However, I have found so much comfort in meeting women who share the same heartache as me it is very comforting for me. I carry Landry always in my heart and I think of him as I look at Tyler and GK together. Landry will always be such a important part of our life and I am thankful for that. Our family does not feel complete to me but I know that feeling will come on day when we are all 5 together in Heaven. What a beautiful sight that will be. I love and miss Landry so much and I am so thankful for his beautiful life. His 43 hours changed me forever and for that I am truly grateful for. Tears still can find away to the surface when my thoughts linger too long but a smile is always close behind.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge him.

Big Night

We had a big night at our house tonight. This cute girl graduated from swaddling to a sleep sack. Georgia Kate is getting to be such a big and it is making a little sad. The days are just flying by, but they have been some pretty wonderful days. I can't imagine our life with out this beautiful little girl and her sweet spirit.

I have been missing in action lately, and my blog is suffering because if it. Maybe tomorrow things will slow down a bit so I can blog.

5

We have a 5 month old little gir today and we still are with out a camera, so I don't have a picture yet. Where has the time gone... Georgia Kate is still so precious and she really is growing up too fast. Once I get my camera back I will snap some 5 month shots and tell you all about her.
Tonight was Soccer and Ryan had a Board Meeting so he could not come. I offered to Coach, but another dad stepped in. :) I feel like I have been trying to catch up on everything this week. I guess that is what Spring Break does to you.

Landry's Legacy

Here are a few more pictures from Saturday. Georgia Kate made a appearance at the end due to her sleeping and eating schedule. But of course she was sporting a Landry t-shirt.... she still needs to grow in to it. :) She also had on a pair of socks that were Landry's, and of course her rainbow bow. She looked adorable.
GK adores Tyler and can't keep her hands off of him. :) We loved having Ghee and Poppy there supporting us.

The Marshall's with Stephen. Stephen ran in the 10k! Ryan will be doing a 5k with him in April.

The King's. Whitney is the only looking at the camera, and I am not sure what the rest of us our doing.

Ghee with her namesake.

We are so thankful for all of our friends that joined us this year and I wish I would have gotten everyone in a picture.

I raised $780.00 for the McLane Children's Hospital and Landry's Legacy total was $1,345.00. Those totals made me the top fundraiser again this year and Landry's Legacy was the top fundraising team again this year. I was overcome with so much emotion when I heard my name called. I am truly amazed by the generosity of others and I am so thankful for the love and support that is still being shown almost 20 months later. Landry is such a inspiration to me and I am so thankful for his legacy.

The week after Spring Break is always a little tough. However, we are getting back in to our routine but we have something almost every night this week so that has made it a little exhausting, but staying busy is what we do best.

When You Need It The Most

Some days you just need some sweet smiles and giggles to help you through your day. Well, this little girl knows how to calm my heart for sure.

This afternoon ended up being a very hard time for our family as we had to say good-bye to our sweet German Sheppard, Abbie.

Abbie was truly apart of our family and I will write a special post all about her tomorrow, because she deserves it. Tonight we are all a little weepy.....

Pin It Sunday

I just realized that I never did a "pin it" post last weekend. And I just had to laugh when I remembered that I needed to do one because last week I was at a JL work night and a friend of mine told me that she made my Oreo poke cake that I made. Sally mentioned to keep it up, so I better do my best to remember to do this. :)

Delicious and easy Pork Chops. I love easy and I love the Crock Pot, so this was a must try. I served it with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Ryan's family was in town a few weeks ago, so I tried this for breakfast and it was a big hit. Basically, you purchase Cinnamon rolls and add 2 ingredients! You will start to see a common thread with my meals (easy).

Tonight I am making crock pot chicken tacos. I have made this twice before and it is really good. Our house smells really good right now.

I am still in love Pinterest!

Thankful

First of all I am thankful for friends that had their phone or camera because we still do not have our camera.... my parents took some pictures as well so I will post those later as well.
The big day started bright and early for me but what a beautiful morning it was and I was surrounded by so many amazing friends and that makes any morning perfect, plus I had some Starbucks coffee. :) I loved seeing all of our special friends along with some amazing Junior League Volunteers this Morning as well. I also received so many encouraging texts from dear friends that could not make it but wanted to let me know they were thinking of Landry. I am beyond thankful for all of the amazing people God has put in my life.
It was a beautiful day to run or walk Stacie ran in the 5K and she was amazing! I loved having her this year. She is also a fellow Past President with the Junior League so we will share a very special bond in the coming months.

Kids In The Kitchen was amazing this year! I loved being apart of such a amazing program.

Tyler with Lily and Sadie....all ready to run the Kids Fun Run. I love seeing these cuties in their Landry Legacy shirts.

Tyler with Jack. I loved being able to cross the this finish line with our biggest! Ryan did the 1k with Tyler and a whole group of our friends. I cheered them on and met them half way.

I will share more of our amazing Morning with the other pictures, and Landry's little sister made a special debut as well. :)

Pressing On

Tomorrow Morning is all about Landry's Legacy! The weather has been absolutely perfect the last few days and I think tomorrow will be perfect again so it will make for a nice day to walk or run. I have felt humbled all day by everyone who is joining us at the event tomorrow, and or who donated to Landry's Legacy. I received two donations today from such special friends that it brought me to tears. This is all because of a special little boy and I am beyond thankful to be Landry's Mommy.
Landry is loved and remembered by so many people and that makes my heart beam with pride. I know the word thank you is not enough for what everyone has done and continues to do for us, but we are so thankful for each and every one of you.
On the home front Ty is doing so much better today. I think the antibiotics are doing there job. We stayed home all day so we could rest up and feel better, but we did get out for a walk and bike ride and it felt good to get out of the house for a little bit. I am still praying that the "Strep" stays away from the rest of us... it is no fun at all. :( However, I am pleased that Ty is doing better and the plan is for him to be at the race tomorrow. He has a few friends doing the fun run so I know he wants to be there with them.
We love you, Landry James! Tomorrow we remember and honor your amazing Legacy!!

Philippians 3: 12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brother's I do not consider yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
This verse has always held a special place in my heart because this is my brothers, verse.

Not In The Plans

Our Spring Break is winding down and it looks like we will be spending our last couple of days before we get back to our "School" routine nursing Tyler back to health.
This Morning Ty woke up with a low grade fever so I gave him some Tylenol and he seemed to be getting better, however with in a couple of hours Ty seemed to be getting worse. Very lethargic, would not eat anything, and even fell asleep watching TV on the Sofa... Ty does no nap so that is when I know something is up. I asked him what was hurting him and he said his throat, but then he heard me mention going to the Doctor and all of the sudden he said his throat did not hurt.... stinker. :)
Well I made a appointment with our Pediatrician and it is a good thing I did because Ty has Step Throat. When he came home from the Doctor he already looked a little better. So thankful Ryan was home so he could take him to the Doctor, and he even surprised Tyler with a trip to Target for some Lego's because he did so well for the Doctor. We are now on a antibiotic and I am washing my hands and praying like crazy that the rest of us don't get it, especially Georgia Kate. I have been so obsessed with washing my hands since having Georgia Kate that my hands become some dry and cracked that they will sometimes bleed... that is where lotion comes in to play. :)
Today was Ty's last day at Soccer Camp and it is also Ryan's Birthday! So today is not how we had planned it to be, but sometimes taking a break is what we need and what ever will make Ty feel better I will do.
Happy, Happy Birthday Ryan! We love you so much and appreciate all you do for us.

Mine

This little girl is still in love with her baby and determined to reach it. I adore this pinkalicious girl!!

I am with out a camera so thankfully I have a few pictures that I have yet to post. We are still having a very nice week. Tyler went back for his second day of Soccer Camp and he really is having so much fun. I am do thankful that this camp has been a fun and positive time for Ty. I will try and snag my parents camera so I can snap some pictures of Ty at camp.

Ryan and I have both been trying to keep up with our work out routine this week. However, I missed my class this morning because we were having breakfast at McDonald's... Ty has been begging for a hash brown from there, so this morning we had a fun breakfast outing, and Ty even called and invited Ghee and Poppy. So, tonight I hit Zumba for the first time and it was so much fun! So thankful for Spring Break and a change in routine.

Weekend

Our Weekend did not go as planned due to rain, but sometimes the greatest plans are those that you did not plan. We got the news Friday afternoon that our Kids In The Kitchen and the 5/10 K St. Patrick's day race (Landry's Legacy event) was going to be canceled. Ty's Soccer game was canceled as well so we had a free weekend.
The good news is they rescheduled for this weekend, March 17. I felt horrible for our KITK Chairs they have worked so hard on this event, and we had a a very productive work day on Thursday so they were all ready. Thankfully, we get to try again on Saturday Morning.
Since Ty did not have a Soccer game, Ghee and Poppy invited Ty to spend the night and he was so excited. We asked him if he wanted to Georgia Kate to stay, but he said no. I think it is important for Ty to have some one on one time now that GK is here and that is what he got on Friday. Our house was so quiet with out Ty home on Friday and we were all ready to go and get him Saturday Morning.
Saturday we decided to brave the pouring rain and take Ty to see The Lorax. Ghee and Poppy kept Georgia Kate so we could have a special outing with Tyler, and it was so fun to soak in some special time with our biggest. I am thankful for all the special one on one time Tyler got over the weekend.
On Sunday we decided to have our Supper Club over for a Family fun day and the sun came out just in time and it was a beautiful day and we all loved sitting outside enjoying a beautiful Sunday watching all the kids run and play.
I think our weekend was a great start to Spring Break. Today was another beautiful day and the first day of Soccer Camp for Tyler. He has 3 friends at camp with him so he was having a great time and can't wait to get back tomorrow. I truly love Spring Break and I hope it is a wonderful week filled with some special family time.

Cowboy Day

Last Friday was Cowboy Day at Ty's school. All of the kids got to dress up and take part in some fun Cowboy activities. The school yard was full of lots of animals and activities fit for any cowboy or cowgirl. It was such a fun morning and I was so thankful to be there to take pictures and see Tyler smile from ear to ear.

Getting ready to rope the Steer.

Carriage Ride.

Digging for gold (pennies).

Ty loved this little pig, He kept saying how cute he was.

Tyler and his best friend, Will. These two do everything together at school. You know the story of Ty and his yellow card, well Will got one the same day. :) So thankful for all of the sweet friends in Tyler's class and at his school. Of course Tyler does not seem too excited in this picture. He was still pouting from when his Teacher broke up the class and Will got put in a different group. Ty was not happy at all....
