Just Pictures

Waking up from a Nap.
Ty doing what he loves..... playing with his trains.

After Ty gets dressed or tries something on he always goes to the mirror to check himself out.
A story right before bed time tonight. I am now listening to Ty talk to himself in bed. Good Night and Sweet Dreams.

Patience

Yesterday afternoon I had a Realtor and Potential buyers ring my door bell and what to look at the house. It really caught me off guard because I did not get any warning that people were coming to look at our house. Was my house ready? NO!!!
We have had a lot of rain this week so the dog's have been in and out a lot, so I have mud and dirt on our floors. Ty has had to be inside a lot more so I had toys everywhere. My house was no where close to being show ready. However, I did want to turn them away so I said wait just a minute. I threw stuff everywhere and put the Dog's in the garage. Ty and I did not have time to leave. It was Nightmare.
Everyone tells me that I have to be prepared and I guess that is true. I was NOT prepared. Therefore, I have been really disappointed in myself ever since yesterday because I see our house as my job and I feel like I am failing at keeping it spotless. I know that might sound crazy but it is true. I just keep thinking about what the people must of thought of me and our house. Therefore, I need to start praying for patience. I don't know why I thought it would be easy to put our home on the market, but it has been a challenge for me. It is a very slow process. Yesterday was our second showing and now we may go another week or two with out anything. I know, Patience.

What A Boy

Posing for the Camera. This pictures makes me smile everytime I see it.

This is how Ty laughs. He always covers his mouth. It is so funny!
The bottom picture is Ty pointing and saying No, No!
This Morning we hit the gym again. Ty cried for a little bit when I dropped him off but then he
was fine. It was great because Ty was in there with three of his friends. It was so fun running in to friends today. I did four miles on the treadmill and boy am I sore today. I think next week I might try some aerobic classes. We hope to make it tomorrow afternoon since we have Bible Study tomorrow morning. I can't tell you how great it feels to be at the gym again.

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend were able to raise 1411,00 for Children's Literacy. In May we will be presenting a classroom set of books to a variety of classrooms in Bell County. Christina and I with some of the Provisional's. We had 14 new Provisional's this Spring.
My Fellow Chair. I will have to say that Christina and I are truly Kindred Spirits.

The Provisional's "Tools for Success" was a HUGE Success on Friday and Saturday! I am so proud of all of their hard work! It is hard to believe that our league year is coming to end. I have truly enjoyed this position and working with one of my best friends but I know that the next league year with be a great adventure, too.
I am so excited about the week and weeks ahead because we joined the Summit! I have missed working out at a gym so this afternoon while Ty played in the Kid's Play Room(there were a few tears when I left but then he found a train set and life was good) I enjoyed my time on the tread mill listening to my I-pod! It was SO great. My Goal is to go every Morning or Afternoon depending on our Schedule. This is the first week in a while that we don't have plans everyday. It is kind of nice. Ty also got registered for Swim Lessons through the City of Temple.

21 Months

Yesterday Ty turned 21 months. Only three more months until the BIG 2! Ty is growing up so fast and makes us laugh everyday.
Ty loves to mimic everything we do. If I am on the phone he will act like he is on the phone and says bye-bye when I get off. If we start laughing Ty starts laughing too. Ty's favorite thing to do is run. He loves running from me. Ty's favorite word is NO. sometimes he will point/shake his finger and say no, no, no. That was supposed to be for the dog's when they jump but now Ty says it all time. It was cute at first but now when I tell him to come in or put something down he will look at me and say NO. Oh, the joys of toddler hood. However, he can still be very sweet. The hugs and kisses melt my heart.
We love you Ty. We are so very proud of you and love watching you grow up to be a precious little boy.

FOUND

My camera has been found. It was hiding in the backroom at the SHR. I even went up there again yesterday with Ryan to search but I guess we did not look hard enough!!!!!

News Spot

KWTX - Video - Waco, Temple, Killeen Weather and News Authority

Here is the footage from this afternoon. I still have not watched it! Click on the Junior League tab to view.

Ready For The Pool

I had Ty try on one of his swim suits for Summer Yesterday. Of course I could not get him to keep the hat on for that long but he loved looking at himself in the mirror. He must know how cute he is.

It is a good thing we are signing up for swim lessons on Monday. It is hard to believe that Summer is right around the corner. I hope Ty enjoys swimming this year as much as he did last year.
Have a great weekend. Ryan is almost with his Spring Classes at A&M. May 2nd is his last class until Summer School. That is when his schedule gets real hectic. We are so proud of you Ryan!

Pricing,Pricing, and MORE Pricing

I have been so consumed with Junior League this week but it has beem so worth it. I know the Provisional's are going to have a GREAT sale. The past two evenings have been spent pricing and sorting clothes, books, shoes, belts, and tools. We have had so many great women helping us out. It was a lot of work and hours but we had a great time doing it. The big preview party kicks off tonight at 5:30pm with tons of wine and appetizers. Christina and I are very proud of our handsome Manikin. This pictures was taking around 8:30pm last night. We were both SO tired. Below you will find the rest of the dedicated women. What an awesome group of Volunteers.
We were able to promote the sale one last time this afternoon on KWTX News 10. This time we headed to Waco. I might be famous after this sale!
I do need to say a HUGE thanks to my wonderful husband and parent's who have helped me out SO much this week with Ty. I truly appreciate you all very much. Thanks for always supporting me.

Good Morning

After doing the Morning buzz I got to do home to this precious face. Ty was all giggles this Morning when I went in and got him. I am one lucky Mommy to wake up to this face everyday.

Have a great week. We are going to be busy, busy but I will try and find time to blog.

Morning Buzz

This Morning we had the opportunity to promote the Junior League's "Tools for Success" Sale that will be held this weekend. Christina and I are so blessed to have so many wonderful Spring Provisional's that were willing to meet us at the SHR at 5:45am so they could help get the word out. We also had a wonderful Board Member that was there with us this morning, too. Wow what a dynamic group of ladies I am honored to work with and call my friends.
If you would like to watch please go to: http://www.kwtx.com/ The Morning Buzz video is on the right hand side. We did two segments. I even have it on our DVR but I have not watched it. Katy, Christina, Me, Jessica, Jen, and Julie
Below you will find our lovely table display that we created at the last minute.

"Tools for Success" April 24-25.

If you are looking for something fun to do next week and possibly find some great deals then come to the Second Hand Rose and support the Junior League's Provisional Class Spring Project " Tools for Success"
By selling gently used professional clothes, hand/power tools, and books at reduced rates, we are hoping to raise money to promote literacy in the 3rd grade classrooms throughout Bell County. With the proceeds from the sale we plan on buying a classroom set of books for the lowest socio-economic schools throughout Temple, Belton, and Killeen.
This is my sales pitch. We can't not raise the money for the books with out the help of our great community. My week starting tomorrow at 5:30 am (have your TV set on KWTX Morning Buzz) will be consumed with getting everything ready for this great sale! I have a special place in my heart for this project and the league and I know that we ARE making a difference in the life's of children and our community.

Showering Grace

Me, Mom, Gramma with Samantha and her Mom and Grandmother. We have a lot of memories together.
Elizabeth, Katie, Lindsay, Me, Samantha, and Kelly.
It was like a mini High School Reunion. The majority of these girls I have known since Pre-School. The youngest one at the shower. He might have been the loudest, too.
Me with my very Special Friend Lindsay. I am very fortunate to still see her a lot. Every week!
This Morning I had the opportunity to attend a Baby shower (With Ty) for one of my sweet friends from my childhood. Samantha is expecting baby Grace in June. This will be Samantha's second, her little Boy Ryan just turned 2. It was great seeing a lot of my special friends from childhood that I do not get to see that often.
However, I had Ty will me because my Mom was also invited and Ryan and my Dad were both booked. Let me tell you that my days of being able to sit and enjoy a conversation are over. I was ready to leave once we got there because Ty his so full of energy and was running all over the place. Thank goodness Ghee was there as a back-up. However, once it came time to sit down for brunch Ty lasted a few minutes but then we had to go because he was getting antsy. We left Ghee and Amma so they could enjoy themselves.
Over all it was a wonderful Morning with so many special Women that have touched my life in so many amazing ways.
Thank goodness for a night out tonight. (Ryan if you are reading this in class don't forget about going out for Stacie's 30th Birthday). Ryan always tells me that the only way he knows what is going on in our life is through the blog so I thought I would add that info in there just in case he forgot.

Got Peanut Butter

This Morning Ty took the bread and peanut butter out of the pantry and handed it to me. Therefore, Ty enjoyed a Peanut Butter Sandwich for breakfast. I wonder if any of the peanut ended up in his mouth?

Home Builder's Gathering

Ty loved staring out at Lake Belton. He kept going like fish every time he saw the water. My favorite was when he tried to climb the fence. We love Dead Fish Grill. Well, this was Ty's first time, and he loved dancing with the guitar player/singer.

Ty with two of his favorite people: Amma and Poppy

Tonight we went to Dead Fish to help kick off the Area Home Builder's Parade of Homes. Ty had a great time exploring and looking out at the water. I don't think I was able to sit still all night long but it is worth because my Dad loved showing his Grandson off to everyone. We love you Poppy!
Woo Hoo Ryan just got home (8:45pm)!!!

House For Sale

Here are some pictures our house that our Realtor has on his website if you would like to see our house staged. http://www.guyfowler.com/houses/parkplace504/index.html

Our Week

Ty listened to some music while Mommy swept the porch and took care of the flowers.
Then he started dancing.

Ty also Spent a lot of time with Dogs outside while I cleaned. Our poor dogs have not been allowed to come inside ever since our home has been on the market. This is my rule, but they make a mess and I don't have time to clean up after them. I hate it but this is how it is for now.
Playing in Daddy's Truck and with the pooper scooper. Ty loves anything that is not a toy.

I am sorry for not posting the past tow days but I have been swamped and have had plans the past two nights. Tuesday night was a JL board meeting, yesterday was Bible study, and last night was Supper Club at our house (my camera was not charged so I did not get any pictures from the Supper Club Pajama Party. We had breakfast for dinner!) We have a lot of fun plans for the Summer. A possible road trip?!?!?
Tonight we are going to the Parade of Homes kick off dinner with my parents. Ty is my date because Ryan has a School Board Meeting. We are very excited that My dad has a home in the parade this year! This is my Dad's first house since he has been back in Temple. It is beautiful, of course. Tomorrow we have Gymnastics with friends and Ryan has a school dance. Saturday Ryan is back in class and then we are going to a Birthday Party on Saturday for a good friend of ours.
I am sure there is a lot more I am missing but I have so many emails to catch on and I still need to finish getting my house back in order after last night. Next week is even worse than this week. I will try my best to keep up!

Counting Down

I am ready for May to be here because that is when I will be heading to South Padre for 4 days! Girls Weekend here I come. The condo is rented now all we need is some sun and margarita's. Until then things are just busy. We did have a fun afternoon playgroup at Keifer and Lily's house. All of the kids had a great time playing outside. The rest of the day was spent with Daddy. We so loved having him home for 4 day's.

Happy Easter

Below you will find a lot of pictures from our fun filled day! It started with watching Ty explore his Easter basket, a beautiful Easter Service, lunch and hunting for Eggs with Ghee, Poppy, and Amma. We also had a wonderful dinner with my parents. How blessed we are to have family to spend this Special day with. The Easter bunny came to our house last night. He even brought Elmo shaped eggs, a new book, shoes, carrot baseball bat, and the winner was the Bubble Lawn Mower.

Ty loves his new Bear, Max. This Bear is very special to us because Max was my Brother's bear and we thought we would pass it down to Ty this Easter. What a special memory.

Easter Egg Hunt inside. We had a lot of Rain so Ty had a great time hunting for Eggs after lunch at Ghee and Poppy's house.

The eggs were shaped as different balls! A big hit for the boy who loves balls.

After Ty's nap we spent the rest of the day outside. Ty was showing off his new sandals from the Easter Bunny. I will have to say that the Bubble Lawn Mower was a huge hit. He walked around with it all day long. He even walked it down to the street to Ghee and Poppy's house. The last picture is a new flower bed that Ryan put in our backyard this afternoon. We really have some nice curb appeal now!

We have had a wonderful weekend and we are blessed to have Ryan home with us tomorrow, too (Bad Weather Make Up Day). However, this week is a crazy week for both of us. I think we have plans everyday. We are also hosting Supper Club On Wednesday. It will be busy but a lot of fun.
