One Month- Again

I know that I have already done GK's monthly post but I had to do another one with her monthly sticker. I adore these little stickers, so I decided that Miss Georgia Kate needed a pair to help us celebrate and remember her monthly milestones. I found these stickers on Etsy.... I have become a huge fan of that site. Next month my goal is to have her pillow monogrammed, so our monthly photo shoot will be complete. We waited to have the majority of her stuff monogrammed, and now I can't seem to find the time to get it done. It will happen one of these days, considering she has a stocking that needs monogramming. :)
I am so in love with this little girl, she is so sweet and has done really well with getting on a schedule. I am a huge fan of the book Baby Wise..... I used it with Ty and was already re reading it before Landry was born. Ryan and my family called me the Schedule Nazi with Tyler, but it worked. :)
Georgia Kate eats every 3 hours starting at 7 am (7,10,1,4 and 7). She is doing well at night, but it varies.... she usually can skip her 10 o' clock feeding and make it to 1, or like last night she made it all the way to 4. We are still working on our nap schedule/timing.... I usually follow her and watch for signs of tiredness. GK loves to be swaddled (her Daddy is the best when it comes to swaddling her ) and she must have her Sleep Sheep sound machine (love this gift that was given to me when I was pregnant with Landry). I am so thankful for a routine because that is how I function and Georgia Kate seems to like it as well.
We love you so much Georgia Kathryn. You are such a beautiful gift from God.

Bath Time

I am not sure how I feel about being a Alligator!!

I just realized I have not posted any pictures from bath time. Georgia Kate usually enjoys her bath, but then there are times when she screams her head off.... she still looks cute. I am a huge fan of this bath chair that my Mom found at Target. I could not find the net that went on Tyler's tub, so instead of buying another tub we thought we would try something different.... I love that you can fold it up and take with you.

Most of the time Tyler joins her bath, which is so cute because Ty had stopped taking baths and started taking showers (Ty loves playing in the shower). I think that means he must like being around his little sister.

Thanksgiving Recap

Whew!! What a full week we had but it was truly a wonderful week as we had a lot of "firsts" with Georgia Kate.
On Wednesday afternoon we loaded up and headed to Austin to be with some of my family for Thanksgiving. I loved waking up on Thursday being surrounded by precious family members, and we truly have so much to be thankful for this year. The Holiday's are are still bittersweet but I will say they are much lighter than last year. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast and I did contribute this year by making a Pumpkin Dump Cake. I must thank Pinterest for the recipe. :)
I decided to stay Thursday night as well with the kids (Tyler was not ready to leave because Ghee and Poppy were still there). Ryan headed back home to tackle a first for him. Heading to Target at 11:30 to get in line for some deals. He found was he was looking for and was in and out! He kept committing on how organized it was. I enjoyed some wonderful girl time with my Mom, two Aunts, and one of my Cousins. We sat outside by a beautiful fire and I could not help but think about when Georgia Kate would be able to join us one day.

Friday Morning it was time to load up and head back home to Daddy. We actually braved the crowds and did some shopping... along with getting our real Christmas Tree. Last year we began a new tradition of having two trees. One fake and one real.. I love real trees and their beautiful smell. Our house has been decorated since before Thanksgiving, so it was nice not having to worry about doing that. Now all I need to do is tackle our real tree.

On Saturday we hit the road again and headed to Fort Worth to introduce Georgia Kate to Ryan's Family. She met her Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.... she was one popular girl this Thanksgiving. We spent the night and headed back home yesterday afternoon with half of the other Holiday Travelers. It took us a lot longer to get home but both kids did really well.

Today we are getting back to our routine, and GK was really spoiled over the break so today has been a challenge for her, but we will get back on track... I will get my little scheduled girl back where she needs to be soon.... I hope! :)

I have been horrible with taking pictures so I only got few... I need to pick up my game in that area.

Wordless Wednesday- Strolling

One of our favorite things to do in the afternoon when the weather his nice is to go for a walk around the neighborhood while Tyler rides his bike. So thankful for beautiful afternoon walks with my children.

1 Month

“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:7

We had to go through so much this past year but it all seems to fade when you see this beautiful little girl. Georgia Kate you have filled my heart with joy again and you have brought so much Hope to my life, and my life is a much better place now that you are here. I love you so very much.

Brother and Sister

I seriously can not get enough of these two precious kids. I love that Georgia Kate has an older Brother, it reminds me of my relationship with my older brother..... I hate that it was cut short, but I cherish the memories that I have with him.

Thanksgiving Feast

On Friday Morning Tyler's School hosted a Thanksgiving Feast. Tyler's class was in charge of making the Corn Bread, so I had the privilege of coming and helping Ty's class do some cooking, and I also got to enjoy the feast. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be apart of everything at Tyler's school. The day was a lot of fun and I tried to snap some pictures of the cooking and feast. Ty's job was to pour the mix in the bowl, and then they all got to take turns stirring. Little Sister taking it all in. GK was wonderful during our time at school, and hopefully one day I will be there taking pictures of her enjoying her Thanksgiving Feast.

Tyler's place mat. They were supposed to draw what they were thankful for. To your left is our Family. Mommy, Daddy, Georgia Kate, Abbie, and Cooper. And then on your right which is partly covered by the napkin is the Lego City Fire Station, which Ty wants for Christmas. Well.... at least his family was on there. :)

My favorite Pilgrim.

I think we are all ready for Thanksgiving. I know I am ready for Ryan to home for a few days. He has been working so much lately, that we are really ready for some special time with him.

Trophy

Last Saturday marked Tyler's last Soccer Game of the Season, so what do you get at the end of a fun Season? A trophy!!
We celebrated the end of a fun Soccer Season on Tuesday evening at Chick Fil A. It was a evening filled with dinner, playing, and a special trophy presentation. I hated to leave early but it fell on the same night as our monthly Junior League meeting, and I needed to be there. So, I am thankful for a sweet friend who took pictures of Ty getting his trophy. Georgia Kate also got to be apart of the fun, when she was not in and out of sleep. :)

Tuesday also marked Ryan's first time with both Ty and GK and he did great. He had them both in bed by 8 when I got home! I think he does better than I do when it is just me at night. :) Ryan told me that he just has a special touch! Well, whatever works.

I am just beyond thankful to finally have 2 kids in our home. I love it even when I feel like I am going crazy. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Big Brother

This little boy was so ready to be a big brother and it really shows....most of the time. :) He loves holding her and being able to give her a bottle. He will ask me numerous times while she is napping if she is awake yet, and he always wants to go check on her.
Georgia Kate is so lucky to have such a adoring Big Brother, and I have already been praying that they have a special relationship and a close bond the older they get.

Because

Because of Landry's short life
Because of his light
Because of his perfection
Because Jesus loves
Because Jesus hears
Because Jesus redeems
Because Jesus restores
Because GOD is faithful to His own
Because GOD is working
Because of GOD's mercy
Because GOD answers
Because He is in the details
Because of your prayers
Because of your hope for us
Because of your burden
Because of your tears
Because GOD makes everything beautiful in His time
We are Celebrating. Heaven is stirring.

Georgia Kathryn your beauty is breathtaking, and every minute with you is beyond wonderful. You are ours. You our God's. You are perfect. You have been and will be carried by countless prayers.

I love everything about you.

Thank you to our dear friend, K.C. for capturing these beautiful memories of our little girl.

Homecoming

Walking out of the Hospital on Sunday, October 23 with Ryan, Tyler, and Georgia Kate was the greatest feeling ever! Tears started flowing when we put her in our car, because the last time we left the hospital as a family a car seat was left empty. Everything about bringing GK home gave me goose bumps, and of course we had both sets of Grandparents waiting in the drive way for us to arrive home. The best Big Brother around. Tyler really loves his little sister and for that I am thankful.

All ready to go home!! Hearing the words you are free to go was music to my ears.

Georgia Kate meeting Abbie and Cooper. The first meeting seemed to go well, so I hope it will last! :)

Our family looks a lot different than it did a year go. We will always have what other people may not see... our little boy in Heaven. Landry is always with us and close to our hearts. He is our precious baby boy, and Georgia Kate is a sweet reminder of his presence in our house.

The Day You Were Born

Getting all ready to meet our Daughter.

Our amazing Doctor that has delivered all three of our children. He truly is amazing and I will be forever grateful for him.

The Morning of October 22 started very early for me, because I awoke knowing that it would be the day that we were finally going to meet our miracle, Georgia Kathryn.
Ryan and I got to Scott and White around 7:30 am and my Mom was already there waiting for us. My Doctor even met us out in the waiting room to say Good Morning and help us get situated in our room. Once I got changed then it was time to get to get the process going with IV's, checking how much I was dilated, and eventually Pitocin. We were shocked to find out that I was was almost 5 centimeters dilated with out any help from the Pitocin. Ryan left to go coach Tyler's Soccer Game.... some of you are probably thinking I was crazy for letting him go, but the game started at 8:30 so I figured we had time. :) My sweet Mom sat with me the whole time Ryan was gone so I was in good hands. Once I started on the Pitocin I really started feeling the contractions, but thankfully I did not have to wait long for the epidural. After the epidural everything else seemed to be moving along rather quickly.... I had the epidural a total of 45 minutes before it was time to start pushing. I think we were all shocked at how fast I was dilating, well I know I was! Georgia Kate was really ready to make her appearance.
After the game Ryan, Poppy, Tyler, Nana, and Papa made their way to the Hospital. Tyler did really well when he saw me this time in the Hospital bed. I was amazed at what a difference a year can make, and how much more he understood what was happening. I was so proud of our biggest.

With in no time I was 10 and it was time to start pushing!!! Even pushing was fast... I think I pushed 4 times, and then there she was. Georgia Kathryn Steele was born at 11:45 am. Labor and delivery lasted a total of 4 hours! I guess that is what happens with a 3rd pregnancy... I am scared to have a 4th. :)

Doctor Fothergill asked me right before we started pushing if I wanted to hold Georgia Kate first before they got her all cleaned up and did her weight and measurements. I was really blown away by that because it always took me so long to hold our boys for the first time. However, he knew how important it was for us to see her and touch her and know that everything was going to be ok. I must say that the whole day was really wonderful. I felt so much peace and our Nurse and Doctor were so wonderful and very attentive and did everything they could to make October 22nd a very special day for us, and it truly was a day filled with so much Hope and Joy!

I think the majority of my anxiety kicked in the first time GK's body temp was checked, because that is when things started going down hill with Landry My heart would always stop every time she was checked but she was always perfect in every way. Tears fill my eyes as I look back at these pictures, because I am reminded over and over again of Gods amazing beauty and grace in our life. I will never understand why Landry is not with us, but I do know that if it were not for Landry we may never have had our beautiful Georgia Kate, and every time I stare at our third blessing I always see glimpses of both of her brothers in her, but especially Landry and for that I am so thankful.

There is still a lot more and I promise to not go too long with out another post! :)

Soccer Sister

On Saturday Morning Georgia Kate went to her first Soccer Game to cheer on her big brother! It was kind of chilly that Morning so she was bundled from head to toe. I can't get enough of this precious girl, maybe that is why I have become such a bad blogger. :) I promise to get back on track one of these days.

It is hard to believe that our last game of the Season is Saturday. We have really enjoyed Soccer this year and can't wait for the Spring.
