Tomorrow, Tomorrow

This is what happens when your 5 year old gets a hold of the camera... check out GK's hair. Serious bed head going on. I needed to see these pictures at this moment and remember how thankful I am for our precious children and the job I have to raising them. Some days are just tough and today was one of those days. Thank goodness, tomorrow is another day.

Sweet Summer Friends

Tyler had such a fun week last week, along with his Birthday on Thursday he got to have a special date with his Ghee on Wednesday (Movie and Lunch). My Mom's close friend Patti (her Daughter is a good childhood friend of mine as well) had her Grandson in town, and every time he comes in town Tyler and my Mom always get to do a lot of fun things together.
Therefore, on Ty's Birthday he wanted to have lunch with Ghee, Ryan, and Patti. At first me and Georgia Kate were not invited for swimming and lunch, but our sweet Birthday boy changed his mind. :) So special to see Tyler playing with Ryan. It brings back a lot of fun memories of me and Samantha growing up together. We also got to see Patti and Ryan on Friday, so we had 3 days full with them. What a fun surprise. Well, this week is going to be a little nuts with a weekend retreat/training for JL and Tyler Birthday party!! Yikes! I must get busy.....

5th Birthday!

Birthday spankings and your how old?
 Tennis Pro
Giving GK big hugs to say thank you, GK adores all of the attention he gives.
 Big 5 year old.
On Thursday our biggest turned 5!!! It is hard to believe that we have a 5 year old in our house. We celebrated in the Morning before Daddy went to work with a special Birthday breakfast, donuts. Ty also got to open up his presents!! If you remember from a earlier post we got Tyler the Lego City Fire station. It is still a big hit. Georgia Kate got him a tennis racket and tennis balls.... she loves trying to steal them. Little sister must have known that Ty has been wanting his own since he went to tennis camp this summer... what a good listener and shopper. After our fun morning of celebrating we headed to Ghee and Poppy's pool for lunch and swimming with a friend. That night Ty got to have sonic and spend the night with Ghee and Poppy. A great day if you ask Ty.

We our so proud our biggest and can't wait to see what this year hold for him. I know I will have a blast watching him.

Masterpiece

The highly anticipated Lego City Fire Station!! This was Ty's big Birthday present and I will just say that it is a good thing that Ryan took today off, because it took him ALL day to put together. :) Yesterday was a jam packed day for Tyler as he turned 5, and of course the Lego City Fire Station box went every where with us, so I know Ty is thrilled to have the box opened and the finished product complete. Now to keep little sister away from this masterpiece. ;)
I felt the urge to post this because Ty asked if he could take a picture of his Lego's and then he wanted a picture next to it, too. Very proud Lego owner!!

43 Balloons

43 balloons for our littlest. We did lose a few, but we started with 43.  :) Balloon releases played a huge part in our healing process during the first year, and it was also a special way that we could involve Tyler. Therefore, last night we held a very special balloon release to honor Landry on his 2nd Birthday. This was Georgia Kate's first balloon release to be a apart of so she thought all the balloons were really neat and tried to touch and take a bite out of them. We sang Happy Birthday to Landry, led by Tyler and also a prayer by Tyler and Daddy. At the end Georgia Kate said "Bye Bye" I don't know what is was but I broke down in tears.... I adore my children, all 3 of them. Ghee and Poppy joined us for our special family celebration and we ended with dinner and dessert.
Yesterday was simply a nice day with family, and focusing on Tyler and GK and doing fun stuff with them. I am sure you can guess what we did, swimming. I was also reminded, yesterday at how much of a impact Landry made on the lives of others. I received numerous texts and messages from sweet friends and family. And even a beautiful arrangement of flowers with stargazer Lillie's, my favorite. My sweet friends know me so well. :) We are so blessed with special people in our life that love and remember and Landry.
Tomorrow we celebrate a big 5 year old boy!! What a special week to honor and celebrate two special boys in my life.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Landry

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord. And he worshiped the Lord there. 1 Samuel 1:27

Today I am celebrating Landry, his life, and his legacy. We only had him for 43 hours but the impact he has made on my life will last a lifetime. I love you and miss you more than words can say. Thank you for being my son, our littlest. You are celebrated today and every day.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Landry!! Today I choose to look at all the wonderful things that have come from your precious life even as I would give anything to have you sitting on my lap blowing out two little candles. Today I was reminded at just how much you have blessed my life and the life of so many others. Your legacy is humbling. It seems like just yesterday that I held you in my arms for the first time and I remember gazing in your eyes that were a lot like mine, and thought to myself how perfect and beautiful you were. You still are. I love you and miss you, my littlest.

Today, I hugged Landry's Big Brother and Little Sister a little tighter. Tyler made me face each day after Landry went to Heaven, and Georgia Kate has been our restoring hope. I love how all three of our children have the same features, but I especially see a lot of Landry in Georgia Kate.

Landry you are celebrated today and everyday.

These 2 love playing together, and Gk's favorite place to play is in Ty's room (I wonder why). I love the special bond they share. Such sweet memories.......

Ahoy, Matey

We had a party weekend. Fist stop was to a Pirate and Mermaid Birthday Party. I tried my best to get Tyler and Georgia Kate in to the whole Pirate party spirit. Poor Ty was trying his best to pin down his sister so she would love her hat on. :)
We swam and partied the afternoon away, and we even got a new pet out of it. Yup, the party favor was a pet fist. Meet our new pet, Salty. Ty is really digging him and he even slept with Tyler last night. We have never had a fish so I hope he will have a long life with us... I am kind of nervous. ;)
Last night we attended a another family fun gathering with friends. My parents offered to watch GK, so it was just the 3 of us and I enjoyed being able to "really visit with friends. Yesterday was so nice, and I really just tried to focus on all the wonderful people in our life and just enjoy the day.... and of course laugh. It is easy to do with our group of friends.

9 Months

GK showing off her new tricks that Daddy just taught her. Where's your ear? Raise your hand!

Part of the absolute JOY that will carry us through this week.

Georgia Kate turned 9 months today and there is so stopping our girl. 8 months was a big month for exploring and I know that 9 months will be just as big and fun. We are absolutely in love with this 4 tooth wonder..... two on the bottom and two on the top, which is perfect for trying to eat real people food.. she is really digging "our food" and could care less about her "baby" food. GK can say Dada, Bye-Bye, Bubba, and when she is winning it sound like she is saying Momma. ;) I thank God daily for this precious gift that he gave us.
It is hard to believe what this week holds for our family. We are just 2 days away from remembering and Celebrating Landry's 2nd Birthday and just 4 days away from Tyler's 5th Birthday! This week is still very much bitter sweet for me, but I continue to praise God for his absolute faithfulness in our lives.

It's Offical

Watch out world Georgia Kate is a officially a "real" crawler. And she looks oh so happy about it. :) I was beginning to think we would always have a army crawler, but by golly she got it. So proud of our sweet BIG girl.

Moments

I have just been a slump this week, or a bad mood as my Husband would tell you. ;) I am not really sure why, because it has not been a bad week. It has been a little busy, but nothing we are not used to. Therefore, because of my slump my blogging has suffered. I will try not to let it happen again.
Georgia Kate has developed a little cough and runny nose, and been very clingy and at times fussier than normal. Which makes it tough to get a lot of things done.... but I try so hard not to complain about that stuff because I am truly thankful for every moment these days and never want to take anything for granted. Maybe it's because last year I would have done anything for a fussy baby, and I am also reminded that there are so many women out there going through the journey of loosing a baby, and or trying so hard to get pregnant... those women would do anything to have a fussy baby in their house. My heart aches on a daily basis for these individuals, because I know all to well the pain and heart ache that they are feeling.
It is hard to grasp that we are days from the 2 year marker. I have been reflecting on all the good things that Landry brought in to our life, and I am amazed at how much one little boy did for us and others.....  Humbled. I am missing him as a type this and actually have tears streaming down my face, it has been while that I have cried for Landry. No matter how many years that go by Landry will always have a place in my heart, and for that I am thankful.
Fussy, but oh so cute!! :)

If I could encourage you to do anything this next week it would be to tell those around you just how amazing they are and how much they mean to you. Do something fun that you love with someone you love. Life is precious.

Impact

Today was a Junior League day.... Always a good day, If you ask me. I had a Informational lunch meeting, this is a opportunity for women that are interested in joining the league to learn more about us and meet current members. This evening I met with my Board for pictures. It is hard to believe that this is my 4th Board picture to take. I am so thankful for this amazing experience and the memories I am creating. I am also thankful for a talented friend, who loves taking pictures. Thank you, KC. You are the best. Most importantly I am thankful to my amazing and supportive husband who worked half day so I could attend these events. Yay for a flexible summer schedule and to Ryan, who is so proud of me for taking on this role. I love you. As the months get closer to our league year I realize how lucky I am to be the President of this amazing organization. We don't rest and we are always planning on how to make a huge impact. I love it.

Better Day

Our sweet Georgia Kate was doing so much better today. I loved seeing her precious smile light up her face today. We kind of have a cazy couple of days, so I hope we will be ready to hit the ground running tomorrow.
This month has truly made me reflect on all the beautiful blessings in my life, and I am so thankful for all of the wonderful gifts in my life.

Snuggle Sunday

Something is not right with this picture, as much as I love the sweet cuddles that I have received today... I don't the love the fact that our sweet girl does not feel well. Georgia Kate woke up at 2:30 am burning up, and has run a low grade temp off and on all day.
This is the first time that Georgia Kate has run a fever and has just been fussy and lethargic today. We have been extremely blessed and thankful for a healthy girl, so far. It just breaks my heart looking at this picture. Therefore, we are laying low today and having a snuggle Sunday. Hopefully, all the snuggles and rest will help GK bounce back quickly.

Sweet Slumber

As you can see our sweet Big Brother has become a regular in Georgia Kate's room. I tried to get both of them, but it was kind of difficult to do with out waking them up.... You can see Tyler if you look closely at the bottom picture. I adore these precious moments that I longed so much for last year. However, I am really missing our 2nd little boy this evening, There is something about this picture makes me long for him even more....maybe because that was Landry's room and bed, too.
So thankful for these beautiful gifts that fill our home and that precious room with so much love and complete joy.

Train Master

Georgia Kate loves playing in Ty's room these days because she has learned a new trick... pulling up on the train table and playing with all of Tyler's trains and tracks, well mainly just trying to eat them. Seriously, there is no stopping this girl!
Please excuse the mess in Ty's room... still learning how to put things away nicely. ;) This weekend my goal is to do a major clean out in Ty's room. With a Birthday coming up in 2 weeks it is time to clear out and make room for the new stuff. Still having a hard time grasping that we will have a 5 year old very soon....

Bath Time Protector

Tyler might be taking this protective older brother role a little over board.... he will not let the poor girl bathe by herself. :)

All Star

Ryan turned the TV on this evening and turned the channel to the All Star Baseball game, and perfect timing because they got a shot of the Bull Pen, and guess who was on TV?? Josh Frasier (my Cousin), none other than our favorite Texas Rangers Bull Pen Catcher. GK just happened to be wearing her Rangers onsie for PJ's tonight. :) We just had to snap a picture of the kids with Josh in the background... too cute.
We had the amazing opportunity to attend two Rangers Games at the end of June... still need to post about that because I have so many pictures and it was a very special weekend. We love our Rangers!!

Be Still My Heart

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”   Ephesians 2:10

July 4th Parade

The top four pictures were taken by our amazing friend, KC. She always captures such beautiful moments.

What a 4th! We started the Morning with our neighborhoods annual 4th of July parade. This was actually my first year, in 2 years not to Chair this event. It was so nice to just be able to go and participate. Tyler rode his bike and Georgia Kate rode in her stroller. We saw so many wonderful friends, and our Ghee was with us as well. Poppy has been so busy with work, but we are hoping things will start slowing down for him... we missed him. Sorry for the picture over load but of course we took tons of pictures from our Morning.
After the parade we headed home to gear up for a night of friends and fireworks. Our house is right by where the City's Firework show and city wide 4th of July event, so we started a tradition when we moved in to our house of having a family 4th of July party. We do a pot luck, play/visit, and and at dark it is time for the show. We usually walk down to the end of our street so we have a better view... we have tons of trees in our neighborhood so sometimes they block the view, however this year I was surprised at how well I could see from our front yard... Our little firecracker did not last for the party or the fireworks... she was dreaming of fireworks. :) Therefore, I stayed home...  I got a lot of cleaning done, and our house needed it with 21 kids and adults at our house. I did not mind one bit, I loved having a sweet sleeping baby in our home this year.
We had such a wonderful 4th and the best part is Ryan took the rest of the week off, so we really had so much fun as a family this week, we love having Daddy home and I think we are all going to miss him tomorrow when he has to go back. What a wonderful 4th of July week.
