Still Here......

Sorry that the Steele's have been a little absent from our blog this week, but we have had a crazy week. It has been a great week because on Wednesday Ty and I headed to Austin to see our two favorite girls! Sara and Sevi. It was so worth it!

Westphalia's Youngest Student

Tyler and I went up to school with Ryan yesterday afternoon to help Ryan do some last minute preparations before the first day. As you will see from the pictures Ty had a great time exploring Ryan's school. Ty found so many things that he could play with. Paper, books, and his favorite were the lockers. They were just Ty's size.
We brought Ty's walker and away he went. Ty loved all the space in the hallways. It was a fun afternoon.

At least we have a few years to prepare for Ty's first day.

First Day of School

Have a wonderful First Day, Ryan. We hope that your school year is great and you continue to do wonderful things for Westphalia. You are a very special Superintendent. The staff and students are very blessed to have you. We love you!
As all the students tell you. "You are the Bomb, Mr. Steele" I think that's how kids say that? I am not up with all the new lingo!

Lucky Boy

Poppy, Ghee, Nana, and Papa

Ty got to spend the weekend with Nana, Papa, Ghee and Poppy. It is so special that we are able to have pictures like these. Thank you so much for coming to visit us this weekend Nana and Papa. We can't wait to see you next month.
Ty had six people babysitting him last night. My parent's friends came into town last night, too. However, with three Grandmother's in the house you would think that they knew to put a diaper on Ty before bed time. Wrong! Ty went with out a diaper all night last night. The crazy thing is he was not soaked. Maybe he is potty trained? I wish! I still love Ty's babysitters so I will forgive them:)
We had a wonderful party and I still have tons of pictures that I need to post but I am so tired. I promise to post more later.

Lunch Play Date

Tyler and I went to Chick-Fil-A for a lunch play date with my sweet friend Heather and her two children, Connor and Kendall. Well, we did not see much of Connor because he was too busy playing on the cool playground. Ty and Kendall can't wait until they are old enough to play in there. It was so fun watching Ty and Kendall share french fries. If Kendall was not fast enough, Ty would just reach over and grab her fries. We have to work on sharing. Of course I got some cute pictures from our lunch. Sweet Kendall
Ty is probably wondering where his chicken is.
What a little stinker I have.

Thank you Heather, Connor, and Kendall for a wonderful lunch play date. Ty and I can't wait to do it again.

John Deere Boy

Ty just got his very own John Deere ATV from Ghee and Poppy. The best part is my Mom got this ATV for Ty before he was even born. Ghee and Poppy love their sweet Ty.
Ty gave it a test drive today and thought is was great. Ghee of course had to get him a John Deere hat to wear while riding his John Deere ATV. What a cute and stylish boy we have!

Field Trip

Ryan forgot his lunch yesterday, so he asked if I could bring him some lunch. This is the face Ty got after Ghee and I told him where we were going. However, it is hard to say if he was more excited about seeing his Daddy or going to Chick -Fil- A to pick up lunch?!?!
Ty was so excited to see Daddy at work. It was a really short visit because Ryan had a presentation to give at 1pm. Ty did show off his walking skills to everyone that was in the office. Ty and I are heading over to play with Keifer and baby Lily after Ty wakes up. Ryan has a big day at work. He has meet the Meet the Teacher and a Board Meeting tonight. Poor Ty will not get to see Daddy today. Ty was still asleep when Ryan left this morning. However, I told Ty that we are going to go and have dinner and play with Ghee and Poppy later today. That put a smile on his face.

Champange By The Pool

I am finally getting around to posting some pictures from last Saturday's Provisional Party. It was a HUGE success. We had a great turn out which is what we wanted. Below are some pictures of some wonderful women that I have the opportunity to work with on a daily basis, and women that I am blessed to call my friends. Callie, Heather, Pam, Audery, and me
Me with Pam and Christina. (Can you believe Christina just had a baby 3 weeks ago?) Pam is due in October.
Callie (Just found out she is pregnant with number 2!) me, and Pam. Sorry the picture is so dark.

Next up is the Provisional Orientation Next Weekend. I am already hard at work planning that one. The planning never stops. At least I love what I do!

Kitchen Helper

Tyler has learned how to pull himself up to the dishwasher, so you can see that I had some extra hands helping me put away the dishes today. As you see Ty loved to take all the clean silverware and throw them on the ground. Well, at least he took them out. We will practice learning how to put them in the correct spot a little later.
Why do my parents always lock the cabinets so I can't get in? They must know me well. That we do.

This week has been so crazy. We went to a fun play group yesterday, but stayed inside most of today, because we are getting some much needed rain. On Thursday we will be going over to play with Keifer and Lily. Plus, I am still trying to clean my house with everything we have going on.
On Saturday Ryan and I will be hosting a Back to School Fiesta for Ryan's staff and School Board Members at our Clubhouse. This is our first year to try something like this, but I think it will be great. I have enjoyed being the party planner!

Random Pictures From Today

Ghee and Poppy put a swing in their backyard for Ty so we decided to go for a afternoon swing before we went swimming today.

Tyler loves his Ghee. His face lights up when he sees her. I think the feeling is mutual.
Just a beautiful face.

Have a wonderful week. The Steele's have a busy week. I will post about it later. I must get back to the Olympics!

Up Up and Away

I brought home some balloons left over from Champagne By The Pool to Ty today. As you see he loved playing with them this afternoon.

Ty had a great morning playing with Daddy. He was taking his nap when I got home, so that was great. Ryan followed the schedule!!!!

I wonder if Daddy ever put clothes on him this morning? Boys will the boys.

Go USA!!!

All I can say is the Steele's love the Summer Olympics. We (Ryan and I) stay up way too late watching the games. The American Athletes are amazing. I will have to admit that Michael Phelps is my favorite. All I can say is WOW! The women's gymnastics was amazing, too.
I will admit in years past I did not watch that much of it, but when you have a husband who LOVES it, and even has our DVR set to record during the day so he doesn't miss anything while he is at work, you learn to love it too!
As you can see Ty has Team USA Spirit! Yes, Ty has the same outfit on the last three posts. I do change is clothes, but I just happened to get some cute pictures of him on Tuesday. You will see a new outfit soon, I promise. Things are coming together for the Junior League Party tomorrow morning. I got out this morning and picked up tables and table clothes. Thank you Ghee for watching Ty. We appreciate all you do! I will head over to Pam's house tonight and get things set up so we are ready to go tomorrow morning. It should be a fun morning.
Back to School time is almost here. Ryan's teachers go back to work on Monday and the kids arrive on August 25. What a fast summer! Have a great weekend. We will post all about it!
