Old, But New To Us

We are still trying to find the perfect look for our living room, so we decided to try out my parents TV Cabinet that they do not need anymore. I think it looks great with our new sofa and chair. The best is the storage below. I can now hide all of our videos and Ryan's game system. I still need to add my touches to it.
Today was a very productive day, because I got a lot of chores and errands done. I always feel that there is never enough time in the day to do everything.
Enjoy Ty playing with all the cords and remotes. Ty's favorite kind of toys. Plus, Wheel of Fortune is on in the background. Ty loves that show, too! We watch it every night before his bath.

Date Night

Ryan and I were able to get away last night, so we could celebrate our 3 year Anniversary a little early. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you, Ghee for watching Ty last night.

We have come a long way together! What a blessing to be a family of three. Ty was about to go to bed when we took this picture.

We have had a wonderful and busy weekend. Yesterday, I had a Chair Training Retreat for JLBC from 10-1pm. Thank you Ghee for watching Ty, again. Ryan had another great weekend of class. We found the perfect wagon for Ty, and plus got some Birthday and 4Th of July gear. We are all set! I just finished addressing Ty's invitations. I can't wait for you all to see them! They are so cute. I will put them in mail tomorrow.
Today Ryan and I volunteered in our Church nursery for the first time. Our Church has been in need of volunteers for the nursery, so we thought it might be a great opportunity for us. Ryan and I were in the the 2 year old class. WOW. We have a lot to look forward to with Ty. They were a handful, but so cute. Ty is still doing well in the nursery. Today I went to go get him and he was sleeping on a huge stuffed animal. It was so cute. I wish I had my camera. This is the fist time that he has fallen asleep in there. He must of known that it was his nap time. That kid loves a schedule.
We have another crazy week ahead with friends coming in to town, hosting a baby shower, and a play date with Jackson and Hudson, and the 4Th of July Parade. Plus tons of planning and emails for JLBC. At least Ryan does not have class this week or weekend. He might even take Thursday off of work. What a treat for us.

I miss you, Dada!

Splashing Around

We got out for some water and sun yesterday. I finally just let Ty wear his little swimmers in the pool. We had fun until he decided to make a break for it!
Ryan is in College Station today and tomorrow! Working hard. He has his first presentation this weekend. Ryan's power point looked great.
We did get Ryan's truck back yesterday, just in time for all my evening commitments. Perfect timing.
Ghee and I will be in search for the perfect little wagon for Ty, because Ty is going to be in a 4Th of July parade next Friday with three of his other buddies.

Have a wonderful Friday!

11 Months Old!!

It is hard to believe that in one month our sweet baby is going to be ONE! Time has just gone by way too fast. Ty is such a joy and blessing to our family. I love seeing his bright shiny smile everyday. If he smiles really big you can see all 9 teeth in his mouth. Ty has a mouthful of teeth. From the pictures I took today you can see what Ty's favorite thing to do these days is cruise around our coffee table, and he just started getting really adventures and going from the coffee table to the sofa and our end table. What a brave little boy! Ty always gets very excited and makes all sorts of noises and talks up a storm. He can now say Dada, and our favorite is he will bark like a dog. We are trying to get him to say bye, and he kind of has it. Ty loves to make noise.
I still can't believe that my sweet little baby that I carried, Tyler Justin Steele is turning in to a little boy. I have so much love for Ty, and he makes me the proudest Mom everyday. For now I will steal all the hugs and cuddles I can get, because soon those little tiny hands that wrap around my neck will be big boy hands.

A wrap up of our crazy day: Ryan was heading to work after his Men's Bible Study this morning and gets a flat tire. Thank goodness my Dad was available to help him. Ryan comes home with grease all over him, so I load Ty up in the car to follow Ryan to get a new tire. They get it fixed, and he heads for work. Five minutes later Ryan calls again, and his brakes are grinding. Therefore I turn around so we can take his car to a brake shop. In conclusion Ryan now has my car, and we will wait to hear about his car later. All of this happened this morning.
Tonight, I have a dinner meeting and then book club. Thank you Mom, for running to the store to get a dip for me to take to book club. What a Thursday!
Well, Ryan has class tomorrow and Saturday, so it will just be Ty and I! Saturday night Ryan and I will be celebrating our 3 year Anniversary with a night out. It will be late by the time Ryan gets home, but that is fine. Our Anniversary is not until July 2, but that night I am hosting a baby shower with my friend Stacie for Christina and Pam! One is having a girl and one is having a boy! Pink and Blue shower. Ryan was supposed to have class, but I think it was cancelled. Ryan and I both take on way too much sometimes, but we love it! That is all I will write for today.

Sara and Sevi

Sara and Seville came to Temple last night, so I was able to sneak away this afternoon and get to snuggle with Seville and catch up with Sara.
Thank you, Ghee for watching Ty. I was finally able to hold Sevi for a while today. It is hard to do with Ty, since he is all over the place and likes to get in to everything.
What a very special afternoon with two of my favorite girls. Bart, Sara, and Sevi will be here for July 4Th weekend, so I am sure we will spend a lot of time together. I love seeing Sara, and of course Sevi!

Happy Birthday, Papa!

We love you, Papa! We hope that you have a wonderful day! We are so happy that we got to celebrate with you, a little early.

Thank you for all you do for our family. Always know how much we care about you. We can't wait to see you July. Have a wonderful day! We love you!

Ty

Finally a post with pictures of Ty. The two posts that I have sent this week have not had any pictures of Ty. So, here you go. He is still as cute and sweet as ever.
We all went swimming yesterday. Ty is turning in to a little fish. This week has been great so far. Tonight is a big night for me. Christina and I are hosting our second Perspective Member Meeting tonight, so I hope that we have a great turn out. Thursday and Saturday are also JL events, and then I think it will slow down until August. I still love every minute of it. Tomorrow Ty and I will be attending a picnic with some of my Mommy friends and kiddos. It should be a nice HOT day for a picnic.
Ty's invitations should be here this week. I found the cutest invitation company on line, she custom made Ty's B-day card, since our theme is very unique. I would post, but I do not want to ruin the surprise. There is still a lot to do.

Girls Weekend!

Galveston was so wonderful. I loved being with Lindsay, Rebekah, and Kassie. We all have known each other for a long time and always have a great time when we can get together. We stayed at a beautiful Resort over looking the beach. However, we spent most of our time at the pool. We liked that there were people waiting on us. It was a relaxing weekend filled with laughter and some tears. How blessed to have wonderful friends.
Our room was amazing. We were on the VIP floor. We had a lot of perks. They had champagne waiting for us in our room. Did I say how spoiled we were this weekend. Arriving on Friday afternoon to our Hotel.
Lindsay, Rebekah, me, and Kassie
Kassie! My very special friend that also lives in Temple. Kassie lived in the same apartment complex as Rebekah and I in College.
Kassie and Lin. Lindsay and I grew up together, along with Rebekah. However, Rebekah lives in New Orleans. We love seeing her!
Kassie and Lindsay are also my Mommy friends. We like to get together with our kids.
Friday night in front of our Hotel

My Buddy! We loved dressing up at night to go out.
The view from our Hotel room

What a great trip filled with special memories. I can't wait for next year!
Thank you Ghee and Poppy for Ty watching until Sunday! I know he loved being with you and going to the park and swimming. Ryan is still working hard on his school work. He had a great weekend at A&M! It sure is keeping him busy. We have a crazy week, but we are ready to get back in the groove of things.

Busy, Busy

We have been so busy lately, that I am so happy that I am getting to blog.
Yesterday, was a swim playgroup, running errands, and JL meeting. We have been all over town the past two days.
Today, Ty had his 10 month pictures taken. They should have been at 9 months, but May was just too crazy. Ty was adorable. He smiled a lot. Thank goodness. I can't wait to see the proofs. Plus, I have been trying to get ready to head out of town tomorrow. I am so excited about getting away for some "girl time". I am anxious about leaving Ty, but he is in good hands. Ghee and Poppy will be watching him this weekend since Ryan will be in class. Ryan will be home on Saturday evening to take over. Thank you Mom and Dad for watching Ty. I really appreciate all you do for us, and Ty.
Have a wonderful weekend and I will share pictures and stories from my weekend away. My Junior League Friends. I love those girls!
Shopping! Sorry I could not get Ty's face. I am sure he was thinking Wal-Mart again!

Sunshine

We have been out the sun for the past two days. Yesterday Ty and I went swimming with Poppy, and today I blew I up a baby pool for Ty to splash in. Ty was a little uncertain about it at first, but from the pictures you will see that he started to like it.
Pools and floats are not easy to blow up. I thought I would never get Ty's pool blown up! We are having a great time playing in the sun. Yes, Ty is always covered in sunscreen. What another great day of laundry, errands, playing with Poppy, and playing in the pool. Cool Dude! Notice we had to hold his hands down so we could get a picture with the sunglasses on his face.

Look at all of those curls!

Ryan is at a Texas Rangers game tonight. Let me say that they are playing the Atlanta Braves. For those of you who don't know, Ryan grew up in Georgia and is a HUGE Braves fan! He left the house decked in Braves gear. The bonus is he was able to get box seat tickets from his Sister. So, he is enjoying the game with his friend Jerrod. He called me while he was enjoying his buffet meal before the game! Poor Ryan:)
Tomorrow we will go to a swim play group, and then tomorrow night I will be at a membership meeting/social for the Junior League. I can't wait. I love the group of girls I am working with.
Oh, we finally settled on a design for Ty's first birthday invitation. I am so excited about it! I will take it to a print shop and see what they can do with it! I hope to have them out by the end of next week. I am in full planning mode. This party has to be perfect for our monkey. The theme is great. I still will not say a word, except that it is NOT baseball.
Ghee will also be back tomorrow and we can't wait to see her!

Father's Day and Papa's Surprise Party

What a wonderful and very busy Father's Day. It started by church (Ty loves the nursery), Brunch at Ghee and Poppy's house, and then all of us loaded in my parents car and headed to Fort Worth for a BIG 60th Surprise Birthday Party for Papa/Roy! Linda/Nana and all of the siblings did a wonderful job preparing a wonderful celebration. The best part is Papa did not expect a thing. I think he was blown away when there were 30 of his closest friends and family yelling Surprise! We had a wonderful Mexican feast, which Ty loved by the way. Beans, rice and tortilla's. Ty's favorite. Ghee and Poppy were even there! What a blessing that all of our families can come together! That is very special for Ty and something I will always cherish.
The best gift was the video slide show that Ryan created of Roy. It started with pictures from Roy growing up, all the way to pictures with friends, Linda, kids and grandchildren. It was a wonderful tribute. Ryan had been working on the slide show since April. I believe this DVD will be something that Roy and Linda will treasure for a long time. Good work, Ryan.
Sunday was a very long day, but it was wonderful being able to share it with family. Ty was a little trooper considering the party was still going during his bed time. I brought his crib for him and tried to put him down, but he wanted to be where all of the action was. So, despite being up way past his bed time, Ty hung in there. I was actually OK, too! You know how I am about my schedule. Ty crashed in the car and was thrilled when he was home in his own bed.

Ty with his Papa and cousin Jacob

Cousin Caleb joined the picture. The three youngest grandchildren on the Steele side.

Today Ryan is in a golf tournament! Good luck Jerrod and Ryan. Tyler and I are cleaning and doing laundry. I think we will head to the pool a little later.
We have yet another busy week, but on Friday I leave for my Girl's Weekend.

Dad, you were the first man that I ever loved, and you will always be my HERO! You are so wonderful, and I treasure the moments we have together. I know that Ty will look up to you, the same way that I look up to you! You amaze me. I love watching you with Ty.
Thank you both, Dad and Roy for being such wonderful role models. Your unconditional love and support that you have for your families is a true blessing to us all.
Ryan, you mean the world to Ty and I. We appreciate all that you do for us. Because of your hard work and love for our family I am able to stay home with our precious son. I love, Ryan.
Ty is one LUCKY boy!

One more!

My little show off!
Daddy would be so proud!

Friends Forever!

What a wonderful day with Sara, Sevi, Vicki, Ghee, and of course Ty. We had a wonderful day staring at the the little ones. I love seeing Sara with a precious baby girl.
Seville is so petite and sweet, and Ty loves staring at her! I am looking forward to watching Ty and Sevi play together when they get older.
Sara and I have come along way together. What a special bond we share as new Mom's. I can't wait to Sevi again in a few weeks!

These two pictures of Ty and I are two that Sara's brother, Tent took of Ty showing off raising his hand on command! Trent is studying photography in College and is very talented. I love these pictures. I am sure they would have been even more wonderful on his camera! Actually Trent took a lot of the pictures on this post.
