Patriotic Wednesday

We decided to start preparing for the upcoming 4th of July Holiday by wearing patriotic clothes. We have a lot of USA clothing so we should be set for Saturday and Sunday. Today was filled with Bible Study, Dr. Apt., and errands.

I have officially reached the 34 weeks mark!! Landry is almost here! The appointment went really well and Landry has a great heart beat and he is measuring right where he should be. My next apt. I will start being checked and we will see if I am making any progress. Ready or not here he comes!! The good news is my Doctor gave me the ok for our weekend trip to Port Aransas next weekend with our Supper Club!! I just have to take it easy... I think I can do that!

Summer School

Ty's MDO program offers a Summer Program that we enrolled Ty in. The first day was today and it will last until the end of July. Ty will go every Tuesday and Thursday Morning (just like he did during the school year). Ty was so excited to go back and see Ms. Kim (he has the same teacher). The theme for this Summer is "Little Chefs Academy" and today Ty's class made chef hats and apple sauce. Ty loved telling us all day that he made apple sauce.
I was a nervous all Morning about Ty going Potty or even having a accident since he went to school in his big boy underwear. I am happy to report that Ty went to the potty at school and he did not have any accidents. Ty even went to the potty yesterday in a public place. I do have a potty in our car, too. I just like to be prepared. We are still having some issues when it comes to poo poo, but we will get there. We are just so proud Ty and all of his hard work. What a big BOY!!

Neighborhood Beautification

I may be a little bias but I think the Temple Historic District is a beautiful neighborhood. The Historic Preservation League worked on this year to find something that would help our neighborhood stand out and a way for non residence to find out what we have going on, and just a welcome you to our neighborhood. Therefore, we purchased these signs that are interchangeable. A couple of them were installed last week. Just in time for the 4th of July parade!! Our week started out busy. Ty and I headed over to meet with Whitney about the 4th of July parade. We made sure that we had all of our last minute details wrapped it. The end of the week is going to be crazy, but it will all be worth it on Saturday. After our meeting we headed to the Water Park to meet up with our weekly play group. Ty really loved the Water Park this time around. Well, the rest of our week we will be on the go, so I better get some rest!

2 Little Blessings

Last night I realized how blessed I am to have so many special friends in my life. Christina, K.c., and Lindsay hosted a very special shower for me and my dear friend Whitney (AKA the Supper Club Girls). Everything about the evening was perfect and Landry and Zoe were very spoiled. Ty even got a special gift, too (Thank you KK). I was able to share in this special evening with my Mom, Aunt Mary, and Ryan's Mom. It truly was a great "girls" night.
Landry will be dressed in style from head to toe. I had fun looking at everything again today. Now all we do is sit andwait for Landry James to arrive!

Nice Cool Water

Ty has been doing well on his Potty Training, so when the Vaught's called to see if we wanted to go to the splash pad I thought that would be a fun treat for Ty. I was right, Ty had Madison had a blast. The kids played on the playground and then hit the splash for a little bit, and then they hit the park again. What a fun outing!
Day two of Potty Training went really well. Ty even pooped in the Potty this Morning! I was concerned about our outing but he did great and went pee pee on the Potty as soon as we got home. We just really needed to get out today. Ty wanted t0 play put side the majority of the afternoon so I ended up bringing his little Potty outside and most of the time Ty will now tell me when he needs to go pee pee. We still had 2 accidents (poo poo) today. I must admit I'm so PROUD of my big boy. We are still taking it one day at a time.... How cute are these two!!

Look What We Did Today

Potty Training!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually tried a little over a month ago and it was a disaster. I just don't think Ty and possible me were ready. I have been wanting to try again for the longest time but with workers in and out of our house, and being kicked out, to having to move in all over again it just never seemed like the right time. Well, this Morning was the day and I was determined. I re read "Toilet Training In Less Than Day". However, it will take longer than a day. I had snacks, lots of fluids, and candy. Salty and Sweet are the key because it makes them thirsty! At least it worked today.
Ty was a little stubborn this Morning but when he finally went pee pee on the potty we were both so thrilled. Ty continued to go pee pee through out the day, and we only had 3 accidents. We literally stayed in side all day until 5 pm (Ty was so ready to get out of the house). I just stuck to Ty like glue. I know that it will take us some time to get the hang of this potty business so we will just take it one day at a time. I must admit I am so proud of my big boy and I think Ty looks so adorable in his big boy underwear!! I did end up pulling our rug back and putting a towel down just in case Ty's aim was not perfect (just in case you were wondering Mom).

Ghee and Poppy were so excited for Ty. My Mom called one time to check on him and she asked if it was too soon to go get him a new bike.. (HA) I told her Skittles are good for now. Therefore, Poppy dropped off a big bag of skittles!!

Family Dinner

Last night we went over to the Thompson's house for hamburgers and swimming. It had been a while since we have all been able to get together. Well, Ryan and Steve did play golf together last week.. but for our whole family it has been a while. We had a wonderful evening catching up and of course swimming in the pool. Ty loved the pool that he did not want anything to do with eating his dinner. Ty has really become our little fish these days.

Golf Range

Ryan got home from work a little early yesterday, and Ty really wanted to play some golf. Therefore, we loaded up and went to a golfing range. It was a little too hot for me me but I enjoyed my boy's play some golf together. Ty's golf clubs were at my parent's house so Ty was using Ryan's. Anytime Ryan would swing, Ty would look at him and say "nice shot, Daddy".Ty has become a huge sports fan these days. He loves playing golf, baseball, and soccer. I enjoy watching him and playing with him.
We had a busy day filled with Bible Study and errands. This evening we went over to our friends house for a fun family cook out. We enjoyed hamburgers and swimming in the pool. I took one picture so I will be sure to post.

New Favorites

Slushies and a new Baseball helmet ( That Ty picked out all by himself at Target). Do we have a big boy on our hands, or what? We sometimes have a hard getting the helmet off of Ty.
I just got home from a meeting so I am really tired. I will try and be back tomorrow....

Happy Father's Day

Today we celebrated the wonderful Father's in our life. I feel so blessed to have an amazing Dad and a wonderful Husband who is also an amazing Dad.
We had a great day complete with lunch with good friends, swimming, and dinner with Ghee and Poppy. Ty sure was worn out by the end of the day.
We love you so much Dad/ Poppy! You are a wonderful Dad and Poppy. We truly appreciate all that you do for us. Your love and support that you show us on a daily basis continue to amaze me. Ty thinks the world of you and I have a feeling Landry will feel the same way.

We love you so much Ryan/Daddy! You work so hard for family and allow me to stay home so I can be with Ty and that truly is the greatest gift around. You truly are an amazing Father, and I know for a fact that Ty thinks the world of you. I hope that you know that Ty and I are so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. Thank you for being my Husband! I can't wait until we become a family of FOUR!!
Finally, we love you so much Roy/Papa. Unfortunately we were not able to celbrate with you today, but we know you were surrounded by the rest of your grandchildren and are loved. Thank you for your support and I know that Ryan could not be the father he is without the example of the wonderful father you are. We love you and miss you!

Forever Friends

We had our good friends, the Vaught's over for lunch this afternoon. They just moved back to Temple a few weeks ago and this is the first time we have had the opportunity to have them over. Too bad our house was not completely settled.
Ty loved playing with Madison. We could not pass up on a picture of them holding hands. I think they secretly enjoyed it! Hopefully, things will settle down some so we can see more of the Vaught's. We sure do love having them back in Texas!

Party Like It's Your Birthday!

Today we celebrated TWO very special Birthday's. Ty's friends Cinco and Hudson celebrated their 4th and 3rd Birthday with a pool party. Their Parent's are in our Supper Club so we love these little boys so much, and their little sister!
I wish I would of gotten more pictures with all the kids but when I was not in the pool with Ty I was enjoying the shade while watching Ty ride bikes with all his friends. Ty has become a huge bike rider! We had a great time with all of our special friends.
After we partied we came home and did more work around the house. We finally got some curtains re hung and Landry's bed is up, too!! What a productive Saturday.
Hudson and Cinco making a wish!

Last Day

Yesterday marked Ty's last day of Swim Lessons. Ty enjoyed the past two weeks and will miss seeing all his pretty swim teachers! Yesterday during the lessons they let parents stay and watch. The majority of the parents were doing what I did... taking pictures. Ty was not sure about me watching but he got over it once he got in the water with Ms. Brittani. I have been very impressed with how comfortable Ty has gotten in the water. Every time I take him to the Country Club, which is usually everyday. I love the water the feels these days. Ty is showing off something he learned. However, sometimes he still gets really clingy when I am swimming with him.
Here are some pictures of our little fish. Ty is the one in the white swim shirt. I am so happy that he loves wearing those because he is easy too spot!
Ty swimming in the water with a life vest (back pack as Ty calls it).

Well, our house is almost put back together. Hopefully, with Ryan home all weekend we will get a lot done. I hope to put the crib up this weekend, too! Ty does have a Birthday Party party tomorrow for his friends Cinco and Hudson. We can't wait to play with our friends, and I know Ty will be ready to get out. We did go to the park this Morning and swimming this afternoon. Ty has really been a trooper through all this but I know he ready for me to stop working on the house.

Water Park

Today we met some friends from our weekly play group at the Lions Junction Family Water Park. This was our first time to visit the Water Park and all I can say is WOW. It opened last year and I am still amazed that we have such a wonderful Water Park in Temple.
I took this picture from the website because I was not able to get any pictures. The park is fairly big so I stuck right with Ty the whole time. We had a fun time on the Lazy River and then we spent the rest of the time in the splash zone area with Ty's friend, Sadie. We can't wait to go back sometime soon.

Family Swim Party

Sunday evening we headed over to the Lanham's house for a family swim party. The pool was packed and the kids and adults had a great time. They have a kiddie pool that Ty loved. We enjoyed a wonderful pot luck meal and some fun in the water. Poor Ty had a mini melt down around 7pm so we called it an evening. We have been spending a lot of time swimming. We were at the pool for close to 4 hours on Saturday afternoon, so I a sure Ty was a little "watered out".
What fun times with wonderful friends. We are so blessed to live in such a great City!!

I can't believe what a roll I am on tonight. Maybe it is because I am sitting in our new office/guest bedroom.......
The house still has a long way to go to get back to the way it was but we are making progress.

World Cup Soccer

Ryan does not talk about soccer that much, but when World Cup Soccer is on he comes a huge fan. Saturday afternoon team USA played so of course Ty had to get in on the action. Ryan searched all over for a USA soccer shirt for Ty and he finally found one on Friday night at Wal-Mart. It is a little big but I must say Ty looks adorable in it! I think Ryan was very proud of his purchase. I would have to say that my favorite part of the shirt is the #14. My brother was a wonderful soccer player and his number was 14! What a wonderful memory for me.

Swimming

Ryan was finally was able to make it to swim lessons this afternoon. He surprised us both! Ryan was in meetings all day in Salado and he got out a little early so he stopped by UMHB to watch our little fish. Lessons are still going well and Ty is really improving. We will miss not going next week.

Back Home

We are back at home. However, it feels like we are just moving in. Where do we begin?
Well, I am back but still behind so I will work on catching up this week!

Fingers Crossed

We should be back in our house tomorrow!! The painters are done except for some minor touch up work in our living room and carpet should be installed tomorrow. All the bedrooms are empty, so fingers crossed Ty will have his room back tomorrow. Next up...... moving everything back in. The best part is I have a great new bedroom, bathroom, and closet to put my stuff in!

Kicked Out

I think we have become pros at being kicked out of our house this year. Ty and I have been staying with my parent's since Wednesday due to priming and paint. The whole back of our house (bedrooms) has been blocked off. That includes three bedrooms and our hallway. I will say it looks so fresh and clean!! I love Ty's big boy room. Carpet is going in the bedrooms on Monday so all of our furniture will have to remain in our living and dining room for a few more days. Ty has been a real trooper this week.
The painters still have our TV room to tackle..... that is a big project. They will work tomorrow and hopefully finish on Monday. I'm sure our painters had no idea what they were getting in to when that said yes to this job. Everything is getting done: Walls, shutters/windows, base/trim, and doors.
The good news is our addition is ready!! The Painters finished with all the touch up paint and our blinds were put in this week so we can start moving in! I think we are almost to the finish line. At least for a little bit....
My parents have been so wonderful this week. We have just tried to stay busy, so we have been doing a lot of swimming and playing golf. I went to Supper Club last night with out Ryan since he started an on line course last night. Supper Club was great and it was fun getting out to enjoy some good food with good friends. We are gearing up for our 2ND annual Supper Club road trip.
Well, that is all for now. Hopefully things will be back to normal very soon and I can start putting our house back in order VERY soon.

Waiting

We had another good day at swim lessons today and I finally got some pictures why we were waiting to go in. Swim Lessons was actually Ty's 2nd time to go swimming today. I took him to the Country Club after lunch for some play and swim time. We actually ran in to some friends so we had a lot of fun. I was trying to keep us busy today because we had to stay at of our house all day because of the texture work. Painters are scheduled to come tomorrow so thank goodness we have a full day planned: Bible Study, Water Park, and swim lessons. I don't know about Ty but I am already exhausted!!

Swim Lessons

Today marked Ty's first day if Swim Lessons. This is Ty's 3rd year of lessons but his first year with the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. The past two years we went through the City of Temple. I had my camera with me all ready to take pictures, but of course when I turned it on it died on me. I was so frustrated but at least I have more opportunities.
Ty ended up having a great time!! I was a little concerned because I was not getting in the water with him and he is used to having me with him. Ryan told me that me not being in the water with him would be a good thing. I guess Ryan was right... well there were some tears but he got over it. I loved being able to watch him the whole time from an observation room (he could not see me).
Ty went right with his group and sat with his feet in the water with the rest of his class, but then when it was time to get in that is when the tears started. Ms. Brittany, one of his instructors held him and took him out in the pool and all of the sudden the tears were gone and he was swimming with her. When he joined the rest of his class in the shallow water he was smiling, splashing, and kicking. I was so proud of my little swimmer.
I hope the next two weeks are all very positive and fun for Ty. I am very pleased with UMHB and I will say it is fun for me taking Ty to lessons at the University I graduated from. I promise to get pictures soon.

Swimming and Golf

This afternoon we headed to the pool with Daddy, Poppy, and Ghee. It felt so great in the water and Ty is becoming more and more comfortable. He was a little fish last year so I am thrilled he is liking it more and more. Ty also starts swim lessons tomorrow so I hope his love for the water continues. Ty especially loves swimming with his Poppy.
As soon as we got back to Ghee and Poppy's House Ty was ready to hit the golf course for some golf. Thank you Poppy and Daddy for playing some golf with Ty. I stayed inside where it was cool. I am not sure what Ty will do if Ghee and Poppy ever move from Wildflower. Ty loves everything their neighborhood has to offer.
This week is another crazy week with play dates and swim lessons, and we will also have the final stages of texture starting tomorrow and the painters will be here on Wednesday!! That means we will be kicked out of our house during most of the day. If all goes well maybe we could get carpet in on Friday and starting putting our house back in order. One day at a time......
