Back To School, Back To School

Ryan left this morning at 6:00am to begin his new journey as a Doctoral Student at Texas A&M! Of course I had to get a picture of Ryan on his first day of school on the porch! I did that growing up. I think Ryan did, too! I am sure every kid had there first day of school picture on their porch at some point.
Ryan and Jerrod (pictured below) will pick up Jerrod's principal, Grady. Ryan is friends with him, too. The three of them will stay the night in College Station and head back tomorrow afternoon after class.
Ryan was all prepared with new school supplies and his lap top!
Good Luck, Ryan! We love you very much and can't wait to see you achieve all of your dreams. The whole family will be there to watch you walk and help you celebrate!
Have a wonderful Friday!

Last Day

Today was Ty's last day of swim lessons! However, he was very intrigued by my sandal! He did not want to let go at first but as soon as he saw all of the other babies going in the pool he dropped that sandal and reached for me. What a little fish we have! He had a wonderful last day. It will be sad not to go to the pool every morning. I am sure we will continue to go a lot!

I had a wonderful night out with four fabulous girls! Good luck on your move, Rachel. I enjoyed seeing you last night! Of course we stayed out way too late. We just can't stop talking.

Ryan starts his first day at A&M tomorrow! My Husband is going back to school. Tomorrow should also be a fun day for Ty and I, because we are going to Austin with Ghee to spend the day with day with Sara, Sevi, and Vicki (Sara's Mom). I can't wait to see Seville again. She will be 3 weeks on Monday! I am sure to get plenty of pictures of the two precious babies together. Although Ty is not really a baby any more. I can't believe he is going to be ONE next month! I am going crazy planning his big day!

New Furniture

Here is our new sofa and recliner (You can't tell it's a recliner! My Favorite). It is a lot bigger than what we had but we really like the way it all flows together. We added some new accent pillows to bring out the chocolate in the chair! Ty is already right at home with his new sofa. I must say it is better than lawn chairs. Happy Early Anniversary, Ryan! New furniture is our gift to each other.

Ghee came and watched Ty at swim lessons today. Tomorrow is our last day!

Well, there is what has been going on with us today! Tonight I get to have a girls night with some of my friends! Gotta love that.

Ty's Fan Club

Daddy and Poppy came to see Ty in action this morning at swim lessons. We loved having the company and Ty enjoyed all the cheers from two of his favorite fans. I think Ghee will come tomorrow or Thursday to see how much Ty can do in the pool!
Tyler also has two new tricks. We sing Patty Cake and when it comes to the roll it up part Ty rolls his hands, and when we tell Ty to raise his hand he raises his hand. Very cute and funny! Ty gets very excited when he does his tricks for us!
Hopefully we will have our new sofa and chair delivered today. No lawn chairs in the living room anymore. Thank goodness.

My Sweet Friend

My best friend writes an article every month that goes in her church bulletin, and I wanted to share this column with you, so you all know what a special friend she is to me and how blessed I am that she is in my life.
My friend, Rebekah is a beautiful writer, and I have had the privilege of reading several of her pieces over the past few years. I also have had the privilege of calling her my roommate, and do we have stories!
Rebekah also paints and two of her pictures hang on our walls today. Two of our favorite pictures I must add!
Please take time to read this article. I love you, Rebekah! Thank you for being such a wonderful blessing in my life. I will see you next weekend in the sun!

Monday Monday!

New Crocs! I just love them. Thank you Ghee.
New Swim float. This makes two but you can never have too many!
Schools out for summer! Well, the last day was Friday but we celebrated today at the pool. Ryan still has to work everyday, but hopefully he will get home by 4:00pm! Wonderful news.
Swimming again? Ty went back to swim lessons this morning. It was was great to see all of our friends and learn new things. What did we do today? I dunked Ty twice and he did great. You count to three, blow in their face and dunk! Just like that. We also did a lot of work on floating. Ty does great when he floats on his back and stomach. Ty loves kicking his feet in the water. He started doing that today.
Ghee and Poppy came to the pool with us this afternoon! Can I say again how blessed we are to have my parents back in Temple.
What a wonderful afternoon. Ty was one pooped boy today. We are ready for another big day tomorrow.

Garage Sale Weekend

What a successful garage sale! We sold all of our big pieces, except we were not able to sell Ty for $5.00! Ryan thought it would be funny to put a tag on Ty. I said I would call the day a success if we sold the futon and it was sold! Ryan and I also talked about putting our living room sofa and chair that was mine before we got married in the sale to see what happened. Well, both of those pieces sold too! The only that did not sell that I am ready to get rid of is Ryan's recliner. For now it will go on Craig's list and hopefully we will get it sold very soon. Since our living room furniture sold I hit some furniture stores with my Mom yesterday afternoon to see what was out there, because last night we had a lawn chair and our recliner to sit on.Very stylish I know.

Therefore, after Church we dropped Ty off with my parents and hit three more furniture stores. We finally found something that we could both agree on. I liked the sofa we ended up purchasing since yesterday, but it took a while for Ryan to get on board. He finally did. We anxiously await the arrival of our new sofa and recliner that we will have on Tuesday. Until then it is the lawn chair and the recliner.
