Busy, Busy

We have been so busy lately, that I am so happy that I am getting to blog.
Yesterday, was a swim playgroup, running errands, and JL meeting. We have been all over town the past two days.
Today, Ty had his 10 month pictures taken. They should have been at 9 months, but May was just too crazy. Ty was adorable. He smiled a lot. Thank goodness. I can't wait to see the proofs. Plus, I have been trying to get ready to head out of town tomorrow. I am so excited about getting away for some "girl time". I am anxious about leaving Ty, but he is in good hands. Ghee and Poppy will be watching him this weekend since Ryan will be in class. Ryan will be home on Saturday evening to take over. Thank you Mom and Dad for watching Ty. I really appreciate all you do for us, and Ty.
Have a wonderful weekend and I will share pictures and stories from my weekend away. My Junior League Friends. I love those girls!
Shopping! Sorry I could not get Ty's face. I am sure he was thinking Wal-Mart again!

Sunshine

We have been out the sun for the past two days. Yesterday Ty and I went swimming with Poppy, and today I blew I up a baby pool for Ty to splash in. Ty was a little uncertain about it at first, but from the pictures you will see that he started to like it.
Pools and floats are not easy to blow up. I thought I would never get Ty's pool blown up! We are having a great time playing in the sun. Yes, Ty is always covered in sunscreen. What another great day of laundry, errands, playing with Poppy, and playing in the pool. Cool Dude! Notice we had to hold his hands down so we could get a picture with the sunglasses on his face.

Look at all of those curls!

Ryan is at a Texas Rangers game tonight. Let me say that they are playing the Atlanta Braves. For those of you who don't know, Ryan grew up in Georgia and is a HUGE Braves fan! He left the house decked in Braves gear. The bonus is he was able to get box seat tickets from his Sister. So, he is enjoying the game with his friend Jerrod. He called me while he was enjoying his buffet meal before the game! Poor Ryan:)
Tomorrow we will go to a swim play group, and then tomorrow night I will be at a membership meeting/social for the Junior League. I can't wait. I love the group of girls I am working with.
Oh, we finally settled on a design for Ty's first birthday invitation. I am so excited about it! I will take it to a print shop and see what they can do with it! I hope to have them out by the end of next week. I am in full planning mode. This party has to be perfect for our monkey. The theme is great. I still will not say a word, except that it is NOT baseball.
Ghee will also be back tomorrow and we can't wait to see her!

Father's Day and Papa's Surprise Party

What a wonderful and very busy Father's Day. It started by church (Ty loves the nursery), Brunch at Ghee and Poppy's house, and then all of us loaded in my parents car and headed to Fort Worth for a BIG 60th Surprise Birthday Party for Papa/Roy! Linda/Nana and all of the siblings did a wonderful job preparing a wonderful celebration. The best part is Papa did not expect a thing. I think he was blown away when there were 30 of his closest friends and family yelling Surprise! We had a wonderful Mexican feast, which Ty loved by the way. Beans, rice and tortilla's. Ty's favorite. Ghee and Poppy were even there! What a blessing that all of our families can come together! That is very special for Ty and something I will always cherish.
The best gift was the video slide show that Ryan created of Roy. It started with pictures from Roy growing up, all the way to pictures with friends, Linda, kids and grandchildren. It was a wonderful tribute. Ryan had been working on the slide show since April. I believe this DVD will be something that Roy and Linda will treasure for a long time. Good work, Ryan.
Sunday was a very long day, but it was wonderful being able to share it with family. Ty was a little trooper considering the party was still going during his bed time. I brought his crib for him and tried to put him down, but he wanted to be where all of the action was. So, despite being up way past his bed time, Ty hung in there. I was actually OK, too! You know how I am about my schedule. Ty crashed in the car and was thrilled when he was home in his own bed.

Cousin Caleb joined the picture. The three youngest grandchildren on the Steele side.

Today Ryan is in a golf tournament! Good luck Jerrod and Ryan. Tyler and I are cleaning and doing laundry. I think we will head to the pool a little later.
We have yet another busy week, but on Friday I leave for my Girl's Weekend.

Happy Father's day to my Wonderful Dad and Father in Law! You both mean the world to us!
Dad, you were the first man that I ever loved, and you will always be my HERO! You are so wonderful, and I treasure the moments we have together. I know that Ty will look up to you, the same way that I look up to you! You amaze me. I love watching you with Ty.
Thank you both, Dad and Roy for being such wonderful role models. Your unconditional love and support that you have for your families is a true blessing to us all.
Ryan, you mean the world to Ty and I. We appreciate all that you do for us. Because of your hard work and love for our family I am able to stay home with our precious son. I love, Ryan.

One more!

My little show off!
Daddy would be so proud!

Friends Forever!

What a wonderful day with Sara, Sevi, Vicki, Ghee, and of course Ty. We had a wonderful day staring at the the little ones. I love seeing Sara with a precious baby girl.
Seville is so petite and sweet, and Ty loves staring at her! I am looking forward to watching Ty and Sevi play together when they get older.
Sara and I have come along way together. What a special bond we share as new Mom's. I can't wait to Sevi again in a few weeks!

These two pictures of Ty and I are two that Sara's brother, Tent took of Ty showing off raising his hand on command! Trent is studying photography in College and is very talented. I love these pictures. I am sure they would have been even more wonderful on his camera! Actually Trent took a lot of the pictures on this post.
