We made it home!

Wow! What a wonderful Spring Break trip we had to New Mexico. We enjoyed seeing Mark, Lauren, and Madison. We took TONS of pictures and I will post more tomorrow. We just got home in time for Ty to get ready for bed. It was a long day of driving. Ty was such a little trooper.
Now it is time to unpack and unwind. We will share all of our adventures with you very soon.
I have added music to my page, so be sure to turn up your volume. I cried when I first heard this song. Thank you Lauren for helping me create a new look!

Ty and the Easter Bunny

I think he liked him. We call Ty Mr. Serious. He is so funny. We could not take a close up of him with the bunny, so this is what we got on our camera. We did order a 5x7 print. He has a grin in that picture, because Ryan finally got him to smile a little bit. He just was not wanting to give us a smile.
Well, we are ready for our BIG adventure tomorrow. I will try and send pictures from our Spring Break road trip.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Happy Birthday Daddy! Thank you so much for being the BEST dad ever. I am so lucky to have a dad like you. I love how funny you are. You always know how to make me laugh. Mommy always tells me how blessed we are to have you in our life. I think she is right! I hope you have the the greatest Birthday ever. I am looking forward to spending the day with you.I love you so much Daddy, and I can't wait to share many more Birthday's with you.

I love you, Ryan. Happy 29th Birthday! I know I am still older, but you are getting up there!! Thank you for being a wonderful Husband and Father. I appreciate all you do for our family. You truly are the BEST!

Sring Break. Road Trip.

I love my bunny from my Ghee. You press it and it sings Jesus Loves me.
Who let the bunny in?
Oh, it's my little bunny boy. Another gift from Ghee. We found the ears at Target in the dollar section. I love Target!
Sweet picture. Now all we need is Ty's Easter basket. We ordered it last week. We can't wait to get it. However, we are taking Ty to meet the Easter Bunny tomorrow afternoon.
I am ready for some boy time!

Spring Break officially begins this afternoon for the Steele family. I guess more so for Ryan than me and Ty, but we will enjoy having Ryan with us for a week. I know Ty will especially love having his Daddy home.

Sunday the Steele family will be heading on a road trip. First stop will be Sonora. Ryan's good friend from college (Abilene Christan) lives there with his wife Whitney. Jason and Whitney had a little boy born two days before Tyler. Rowdy and Ty will have a great time playing together I am sure. I can't wait to see them together. Ray, another ACU buddy will be in town, too. I am sure we will have a great time. Oh, the stories that will be told. Monday morning will will wake up early and head to New Mexico to see Mark, Lauren, and Madison. We can't wait to see them. We will stay until Friday. We will be home just in time for Easter.

Several hours in the car with Ty should be an adventure of its own. Please keep Ty in your thoughts and prayers next week. I am sure he will be a great traveler. He usually does a good job in the car. I am worried about his routine/schedule, but I have got to relax. Ty is such a good baby. So, I am sure he will be a trooper.

Did I mention it is 90 degrees outside today. Beautiful. We will be hitting the walking trail later this afternoon. It is just me and Ty tonight. Westphalia has their first tack meet today. I hope all goes well for them. At least they have a beautiful day outside. Well, it is almost Ty to wake up from his nap. Ty went down later then usual today, because we had a nice lunch with Pam and Jessica. Ty looked so cute in his overalls. He sat in his car seat and played with his toys. See, I worry too much. I guess that is what first time Mom's do? Or, it is what I do.

Afternoon Stroll

Mmmmmm. I love chewing on my Mommy's sunglasses. Ty loves pulling glasses off of peoples faces.
I love the outdoors. What a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Just checking to see if you are still back there, Mommy.

We finally had a nice day outside. So, I loaded Ty up in his stroller around 4pm and we went for a nice long walk around the neighborhood. I love walking on the new walking path that was just finished in our neighborhood. It is a beautiful trail with plenty of trees and a creek. I can't wait for Spring to arrive so we can start walking everyday. Of course Abbie and Cooper just stared at us as we started walking down the drive way. I would love to take them. However, they are just too much to handle while trying to push a stroller. After the walk Ty started getting a little fussy. I really think he gets bored with me by the end of the day, because as soon as Ryan came home he was all smiles and giggles. It could also be that he misses his little fan club (Ghee and Poppy). It was so sweet this morning. After Ty woke up from his Morning nap, we walked out of his room and he stared in to the study (Where my parents were staying). He looked and then gave a little frown. I mean it! It was a different expression. It broke my heart. He was looking for my parents.

Today has been another relaxing day. However, later this afternoon we will head out and get Ryan a Birthday gift. His Birthday is Saturday. Tomorrow we are having lunch with Pam and Jessica to talk about Divine Desserts. Ryan has a softball game tonight with TBC and a track meet tomorrow night. Actually, this will be Westphalia's first track meet, because last week they had to cancel due to weather.

Divine Weekend Wrap-Up

Pam, my partner in crime. I was very lucky to have the opportunity to co-chair Divine Desserts with her. She has become a wonderful friend. You can't tell but she just found out she was pregnant with her second baby. She was not feeling well at all, but she did wonderful. I kept telling her to sit down.
My handsome date. He just got his hair cut, too. I love you Ryan. Thank you for being so supportive of me during this project. The shoes...... killed my feet toward the middle of the night. I am glad I had a back-up.
Wow! My Mommy looks so pretty when she gets all dressed up. I am really excited about Poppy and Ghee babysitting me tonight.
I love my two boys very much. I am a very lucky Mommy. I will admit it was nice to dress up.
I took this picture on Saturday morning. I was very proud of the way it turned out. The hours of planning sure did pay off. We had to rearrange a little after the band arrived, but it still was beautiful. Tenroc Ranch in Salado is a beautiful place to host a party. Chocolate and white were the colors for the night. It was beautiful with the lights and all the candles lit. Very divine.
Lacy, Rachel, Emily, Brittany, Mary Beth, and Me. We had a great time dancing to Sprung. What a great band. Most of the girls were on the Divine Desserts committee. They did a great job.
Lacy, me, and Pam.
I will have to say that Divine Desserts was a huge success. It was a great night raising money for a wonderful organization. I got some numbers on Monday. There were 310 people in attendance and we were up to $32000. This is just a rough estimate because we still have some other checks coming in and other costs to figure in! That sounds amazing me. It is still hard to believe that it is over. I had a wonderful experience, and look forward to chairing another committee next year. We have received some wonderful compliments from others about the evening. It is so nice to hear. I am blessed to live in a community where people are willing to give or help out when ever they can.
Ty loves his Grandparents very much. He is the apple of their eye. I love this picture. How wonderful to have a picture of Ty with both sets of Grandparents. His smile says it all. What a LUCKY boy!

This picture was taken on Sunday. Ryan's parents came up to help us celebrate the March Birthday's in our Family. Ryan and my Dad both have March Birthday's. We had Subway sandwiches and ice cream cake. Yummy! It was a wonderful afternoon. I realized how lucky we are that both of our families get along and love to spend time together. We always have a great time together.

I am blessed with wonderful In-laws. We are lucky because they live in Fort Worth, so we get to them a lot. Plus, they always come in to town and baby-sit if we ever need them.

I love my parents. I always treasure the time we have together. No matter how far apart they are always close in my heart. I miss them very much.

That was our weekend. It was a wonderful weekend. I can't wait for more weekends with our families and friends. I promise to update more often. I just took a little break, but I am back.

Don't Go!

This is how Tyler felt after he had to say good-bye to his Ghee and Poppy early this morning. Well, Ty had to say his good-bye's last night.
We had a wonderful time with my parents. Florida is just so far away. I miss them very much. I am trying very hard to be strong today. It is just always hard to say good-bye to them. However, I am sure we will see them in April. My Mom has to see Ty every month.
We already had a lot of excitement this morning. I got a call from my Mom at 5:30 this morning. ( They had to leave our house at 4:30am). They could not find my Dad's driver licence. Well, it was still at my house. So, I loaded up Tyler since Ryan would have to leave for work by the time we made it home and headed to the killeen Airport. I made it just it time! WOW! I treated myself to a Starbucks on the way home. We got home and I got Ty's breakfast ready. I just finished reading to Ty before putting him down for his morning nap. I feel like I could use a morning nap.
I am sorry it has been a while since I updated our blog. I have just been spending all my time with my family. I will post weekend pictures later today.
