Success!

Purses, Pumps and Pizzazz which was two weekends ago was a huge success! The Fall Provisional Girls raised over $2,000.00 from their sale. All of the money raised will be going to Scott & White Child Life Camps. In two weeks we will be going to the Hospital to present the check to the kids. I think it will be a very emotional time for us. I can't wait to share in that moment!
Therefore we needed a night out to celebrate their success. A few of us got together on Wednesday night at Pignetti's for dinner and wine tasting! We were telling the waiter about our project and he brought us a bottle of Champagne at the end of the meal so we could toast to their success! I can't believe we are already looking for members to join our Spring Class. This fall has gone by way too fast for us!

Take Your Grandson To The Job Site Day

This Morning Tyler got a very special treat. They were pouring foundation on a new home in Wildflower Country Club so my Dad thought it would be fun to take Ty out to see all the big Cement trucks. I came along so I could take pictures. Ty loved looking at all the trucks. He just stared at everything. Poppy held him the whole time and told him everything they were doing. Of course Poppy had to show Ty off to all the workers. My Dad is one proud Poppy. I love watching them together. All I can say is Tyler and I are so happy that Poppy is building in Temple again. Therefore, I have a feeling Ty will be at the job sites a lot. Our boy loves trucks!
My Dad actually watched Ty for a little while this morning so my Mom and I could treat ourselves to a pedicure. It was a wonderful relaxing treat. My Mom is having foot surgery on Monday Morning so we decided she needed some pampering. We are praying for a safe and complication free procedure. I know she has several people praying for her.
Ty also got another treat while I was gone. He shared a sprinkled donut and some milk with Poppy. Ty's Friday has been filled with numerous treats! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend. This is the first weekend that Ryan and I do not have plans. I think we will rent some movies and relax. Because next week is another whirlwind week......

Finger Painting 101

As you can tell yesterdays finger painting 101 turned in to a huge red disaster. This is how it all began: Ryan told me I need to be more crafty with Ty. So, on Sunday I hit Wal-Mart in search of some crafts for Ty to do at home. So, yesterday afternoon was beautiful outside so I thought it would be the perfect day to do some finger painting and make a hand print picture for Ryan's office. I had my little painting area ready with all of the supplies, so I grab Ty and we head outside. I put him down on the mat and get the plate with the red paint already on it. Ty immediately puts his hand on it. I am thinking this is going to be great until I see Ty's hand which is covered in paint go towards his face. I am sure you get the picture. It only got worse as you can see from the pictures.

Oh yes Ty is inside the house. I left Sesame Street on while we were outside and Ty hears the theme song for Elmo's World come on. Ty looks up and says Elmo (very cute the way he say it) and darts in side to see his favorite person on TV! At least he did not get red paint in the house.

Ty loves water bowls! I thought I put to where Ty could not reach it. Wrong!

All I can say his we headed to the tub after our fun afternoon of painting. Thank goodness the red paint was washable. Today's craft will be side walk chalk. I think that is safe? I hope!
Last night was a great night out with the girls! I will post pictures soon. I am very proud of myself because today I finally made myself go get the Flu Shot! Ty had his done last week so now I need to get Ryan to get his done. We do not want to get any stomach bugs around here.
Ty has a big morning tomorrow with his Poppy! I can't wait to share with you what Ty gets to see tomorrow Morning.

A Day At The Park

Yesterday afternoon Tyler and I headed to Whistle Stop Playground to meet up with Laura and Madelyn. It has been a true blessing to have reconnected with Laura again. Plus we go to the same church so hopefully we can be apart of some of the same groups through our church. Yesterday was a beautiful day and Ty was all over the place. It was hard to chat and keep up with Ty at the same time time but overall it was a wonderful visit!

Ty and Madelyn on the swings. Madelyn's first swing ride and I think she loved it.

Today has been another good day because as you know it is Wednesday and that is one of my favorite days because of Bible Study. I was in charge of bringing the snack today so I woke up a little early so I could bake homemade banana bread. It turned out great and a lot of it was eaten so that is great! Ty was wonderful and waved bye- bye to his friend Keifer when it was time to go. Very cute. Ty missed Hudson being in the nursery today. He has been sick so hopefully we will have Lindsay and Hudson back next week.
Tonight I am going to a Wine Tasting with the JL Provisional Girls. I can't wait! I always love a girls night out.

Get Out And Vote

Today is a very important day for our Country one that will possibly bring a lot of change, so it is important that you let your voice be heard and get out and vote!
I am thankful that Ryan and I got out 2 weeks ago and early voted because I have heard that the lines are really long today. We even got Ty, Abbie, and Cooper outside yesterday to show their support! Let me tell you it is not an easy task to get all three of them to sit still.
I was watching Sesame Street this morning with Ty and it was all about voting which I was very impressed by. I will leave you with song lyrics that I heard on Sesame Street: "Make your vote and count it out, Your vote is worth counting, Make your choice and shout it out Come on and vote for your favorite thing (people)"

So please get out and let your voice be heard!

Stepping Out In Style

Saturday night my dear friend Kassie celebrated her Birthday. It was a Surprise Party and Kassie had no clue what was going on. Her husband, Steve arranged everything for her so it would be extra special. The night started with a Hummer Limo pick-up. That limo was amazing. We sipped on Champagne as we picked up other couples and then our final destination was dinner at a Cheeves. A very nice restaurant in Temple. The night was great! I was thrilled that we were able to be a part of Kassie's special day.

This morning Tyler and I went to a wonderful playgroup, and of course I forgot my camera. A friend of mine, Laura that at worked for Communities In schools when I first started has a precious 4 month old little girl named Madelyn and now stays at home with her. Laura and Maddie had a small group of Mom's over to play in the back yard this morning. We had a great time and I guess we wore Ty out because he has napping for over 2 hours! Thanks Laura and Maddie for a great morning. We can't wait to see you again soon.
We hope you all have a great week! Please remember to VOTE! Ryan and I voted early so we hope that everyone will do this same.

Trick Or Treat

Ty had a great Halloween. The day started when Ty found some Halloween treats in his Spider Bag ( I thought it turned out so cute). Ty got an "Elmo Says Boo" video from his Ghee and Poppy and Ryan and I got him some cars. What more could a boy ask for. Enjoy all the pictures that are out of order. I tried.

Last night we did take Ty to a couple of houses in our neighborhood. We took him to the houses of all the people that know him. Our first Stop was Ghee and Poppy's house, of course. Ghee had so many yummy and healthy treats for Ty. Ty loved digging through all the goodies.

My sweet little Yoda. We loved walking the street together. We went early because you know me we had to be home in time for dinner and bedtime. As Ryan would tell you I don't let the poor boy out after 7 pm. Well, Ryan can't complain too much because he got to go to the Temple vs Belton Football Game. Temple Won!

Ty holding his Daddy's hand and a piggy back ride from his Poppy! These pictures melt my heart.
We had a wonderful second Halloween with Ty and look forward to many more to come. Now I must go finish taking down my Halloween decorations.
I went to clean-up day at the Second Hand Rose this morning and we were already putting up Christmas Decorations. That is so hard to believe. Ryan's second class of the semester started today. It is a Statistics course. Yuck! And then tonight is Date Night! Have a great rest of your weekend.
