Christmas Memories

We loved the opportunity to travel to Austin for Christmas, because that meant we got to make a Christmas Eve visit at one of our favorite spots in Temple. I have been so thankful to Ghee and Poppy for taking such good care of Landry's special spot since we moved.
My Uncle and Aunt invited us to spend Christmas with them and my two Cousins this year and it was a special Christmas and one we will never forget. We made it to Austin and were welcomed by everyone, including Ghee and Poppy. We enjoyed a delicious meal and then we let kids open up one gift... matching ropes and slippers with a Chick Fil A gift card in the robe pocket. After we finally got the kids to bed we gathered in the family room and played Santa while watching Love Actually. Such a fun evening.
We all had a wonderful Christmas filled with special surprises and gifts. Santa brought GK a kitchen and Tyler got a Cars race track... It was not the one Tyler told Santa about, because Santa forgot to put the Piston Cup 500 on his sleigh (UPS did not deliver this gift on time, it finally arrived the day after Christmas. Therefore, the track under the tree was a last minute Target run. ;) ) Thank you Caroline for all the fun pictures... I did a bad job at capturing Christmas pictures this year.
However, the best part of Christmas was being apart of a beautiful engagement story! My Cousin, Claire was surprised on Christmas Day by her boyfriend of six years as he popped the question! Such a joyous and memorable Christmas. I loved being apart of the celebration and can't wait for the Wedding!!!

After Christmas, Ryan headed back to Brookshire to catch up on some work and I decided to take the kids to Temple for a few days to spend some more time with Ghee and Poppy and be able to spend some time with close friends. It was a great visit and I will admit it was very hard leaving on Sunday. We all had a wonderful Christmas with our families.
