When we were preparing Landry's room we made sure to add some special changes and touches to Tyler's room, like new paint and pictures. We have never wanted him to feel left out, and this time around since we were moving some of his toys back in to his room (like his train table) that were in Landry's room, we decided we might need to do something special for our special Big Brother.
After we took apart Landry's nursery we turned it in to a extra play area for Ty, because at the time we thought that would be best thing to do with it. This time around since Ty is getting to be a big boy, we got him a new bed. Ty was in a twin bed but now he has a double bed, and to make it extra special he has Car sheets which he thinks are really cool. If you ever come over he will gladly destroy his bed to show you his new sheets and pillow cases. I am very pleased with all the changes and Ty seems to like it, too. Now if you look at his room you will see trains and train tracks on the floor, it did not take him long to warm up to the changes. Ty has really done extremely well with all the changes and for that I am so grateful. I just want this whole process to be a positive one for him and our family.
Tonight Tyler even helped Ryan in Georgia Kate's new room.... well, Ryan was pulling up painters tape from the wall and turning them in to big balls for Tyler to throw and play baseball with! What ever works is fine with me.
