Something New

Who knew that finding the perfect shade of pink could be so hard. Well, between numerous trips to the paint store, and buying 3 sample cans to try on the wall I will be the first to admit that there are so many different shades of pink.

The paint color was very easy when it came to painting Landry's room because we used the same color that we did on the walls of Tyler's nursery at our old house. There bedding was different but the color went great with Landry's bedding. However, this time around I want everything to be different, because Landry's room which turned in to a play room for Tyler is now turning back in to a nursery. This room has become a very emotional room for me, because it was all ready for Landry to come home. If the walls could talk they would tell you all about the hope and dreams of having two boys, numerous tears when it came time to take apart the nursery meant for our littlest, and the hope of now filling this room with another child.

Thanks to my Mom's creativity we finally tried combining two of the pinks together.... and we finally had a winner. Luckily, my parents do a lot of work at our local paint stores so our request was not hard to fill. Of course sense we were mixing two shades of pink our new color needed a name, and this is where GK's Poppy came in..... The paint shall be called Georgia Kate. Perfect!
