If I Had A Hammer

Yesterday evening I had the privilege of touring our new Scott and White Children's Hospital. Since it is still under major Construction we were asked to wear Hard Hats during the tour, which made it fun and very official. Temple is building the first stand alone Children's Hospital with in miles, so this is a wonderful opportunity for our Community.
This past year the Junior League voted on the Children's Hospital as our new Community Project/focus area. S&W has been so excited and very supportive about our partnership and what all we can bring to the Children and their families during their stay at the Hospital.
Our Project name is Project SMILE: Sharing Moments in Laughter & Encouragement. We will be going in to the Hospital at least once Month, and every month we will have a different theme/activities for the kids. Along with working with the kids we will be providing goodie bags/Brochure (catalog) for all patients and families.
Our opportunities are endless this year and I can't wait to see where this will take us in years to come. It was so refreshing to see many excited faces last night!
