Stories From The Pool

At the beginning of swim Season we had a boy that would only swim in the kiddie pool, and would scream his head off if we tried to get him in the big pool. Then we had a boy who started liking the pool when he realized he could stand in certain areas, so we ditched the kiddie pool for the big pool. Then the little boy started taking swim lessons, and he started becoming more and more comfortable in the water, and he started swimming.... and in a way became fearless. Last weekend we took this little boy to the pool, since that is where he loves to be these days. He become friends with another little boy at the pool and they had the best time swimming and going down the slide (in the shallow end). All of the sudden the new friend headed to the deep end to jump off the diving board, so what does the other little boy do... follows his new friend to the deep end to jump of the diving board, too!!
The little boy I am referring to is non other than our Tyler!! Tyler loves the diving board, and I am speaking from experience because we spent close to 2 hours at the pool today, and the only thing Tyler would do was jump off the board, again... and again. We did spend a few minutes in the shallow end going down the slide, but we technically lived in the deep end today. One of these days I will get some pictures of Tyler in action. Tyler truly lights up when he goes to jump off! We are so proud of our swimmer!!
