Preparations

Our house is all ready to to deck out in our Red, White, and Blue. We love the 4th July, and so does our neighborhood, which is one of the reasons why we love living where we live. Every 4th of July are neighborhood hosts a 4th of July parade. It is more a like a Children's Parade, where the kids can decorate ( or their parents) wagons, strollers, bikes, scooters.... there are no motorized vehicles in the parade. At the end we have yummy snacks and lemonade. It is truly a wonderful family event, and it only lasts about a hour. This is my second year to chair the event, and it will be my last. It is a lot of fun but also a lot of work goes in to pulling this off...... I will be blowing up balloons tomorrow at 6:30am!
This year since Ty is too big for the wagon so he will be riding his bike, it felt a little bittersweet not to be decorating the wagon this year. I am sure like all "first" Holiday's tomorrow will be very bittersweet for us, but thank goodness for a fun parade, and several parties (we have 4 parties to attend, I hope we can make it to all of them) with wonderful friends, and of course lots of swimming our day will be one filled with lots of joy, minus the fireworks. We have a Burn Ban in our County this year, due to drought conditions.
I hope you all have a blessed 4th of July! God Bless The USA!!!
