Ignite The Light

This past weekend JLBC kicked off our year with our Board and Chair Retreat at the beautiful Ralston Ranch. Friday evening our Board met and it was so inspiring to see so many new faces on our Board. We were missing our Amazing Finance VP, Allison and our super Secretary, Heather. It is hard to believe that this is my third year to serve on the Board.
We kicked off our annual Board Retreat with a delicious meal and then it was time to get down to the heart of training. We were having such a productive evening and all our material was important to our year and mission that our training and first meeting ended at 11:00 PM. Then it was time for PJ's and girl time. We talked and laughed until 1:15 AM, but that is what Slumber Parties are all about, right.
We woke up bright and early to prepare for our Committee Chairs. We had another amazing group of dedicated women join us at 9 am for all day training sessions. I was blown away by how many of these women are already out in our Community lining up some wonderful opportunities for our League year, that will officially kick off in September.
Sitting amongst all of these amazing League Women (that I am fortunate enough to call the majority of them my close friends) reminded me of how blessed I am to be apart of this organization that truly is doing the most good in our community. I am humbled and honored to call myself a Junior League member.
