Water Weekend

Belton Lake for some swimming with the Dogs. The Dogs were loving this special treat yesterday afternoon.

Cooper and Abbie. Our weekend was all about swimming pools, and a trip to the lake yesterday evening to end our Father's Day.
Our big swimming weekend kicked off on Friday Morning with a fun playgroup swim party, followed by a evening swim when Ryan got home from work. Saturday, Ryan had to do some work at School, so Tyler and I spent our afternoon at the pool, and then Sunday after Church and lunch we headed back to the pool for some swimming. The one thing I can say for sure is the Steele's are developing a nice summer tan.

I guess the biggest break through was for Tyler and swimming, and he loves the big pool. Something clicked on Friday evening and really took off on Saturday, when Tyler spent the whole day in the big pool! Ty used to only get in the kiddie pool, but as of Saturday "he loves the big pool". He loves the fact that he can stand in the shallow end, so he would swim and jump, and jump, and jump, again, and again. He is not a pro and still skittish about parts of swimming, but he is taking steps and I am so proud of him.

Yesterday, we thought we would load up our Dogs and hit the lake. Ryan, Tyler, and the Dogs (mostly our Lab swam in the lake) hit the water for swimming and throwing rocks. It truly was a beautiful and peaceful way to end our Sunday.

Our next two weeks will be filled with water as well, because this Morning marked our first day of swim lessons. Pictures and post will follow soon......
